- jbdobd, on 03/27/2008, -1/+13Hillary's negatives jump, her positives tumble, and Obama takes a 2 point ding. And this from the poll taken one day before the Bosnia lies got exposed... People are starting to see through Hillary. Its the only kind of transparency she has ever shown.
- snohman, on 03/27/2008, -0/+4show us your tax returns Hillster...
- jflowers45, on 03/27/2008, -3/+11I think it's asking a bit much to hold Obama accountable for the words of his pastor ... and I"m sure they pulled out all of his most negative material.
- snohman, on 03/27/2008, -2/+5true, true...
- JimmySpaza, on 03/27/2008, -5/+4It matters considering that Obama went to church there for 20+ years. You don't go to a church where you disagree, as Obama put it, with the pastor.
Either Obama is lying and doing damage control...or he's that clueless about what get's said at his church.- dinot, on 03/27/2008, -4/+2*****, you one-issue trolls are annoying.
- oldhick, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2I don't agree with Mr. Spaza, i think faith shouldn't play a roll, but its hardly "one issue". If you mean its one story, then ok. But if Pastor Wrights words matter to people, than its more than one issue. It encompasses plenty of issues such as:
What influence does he hold over those in his congregation?
If none, than is Obama's attendance pointless?
If he believes Imus should be fired for one comment, why does pastor Wright not get held to the same standard?
The list could go on and on, so its far from "one issue".
However, I don't find his faith or church attendance important, so those issues aren't important to me. But I can understand how others would care and you should to. Doesn't mean you have to agree with them though.- dinot, on 03/27/2008, -3/+2The one-issue I meant was the whole OMG OBAMA IS A RACIST BECAUSE HIS PASTOR HATES AMERICA AND WHITE PEOPLE issue.
- oldhick, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1Gotcha, I understand that. I agree with you sir (or ma'am).

- DRINKxREDxBULL, on 03/27/2008, -3/+3If you join a church at the age of 20, find out it is run by the KKK, and not only stay, but make the pastor you personal friend, then you are giving your approval to the KKK. End of story.
Wright married him. He raised his daughters there. He went there every Sunday. He was the first person that Obama thanked when winning his seat in Senate in 2004. He has constantly referred to him as a personal friend. We don't get to pick who our crazy relatives are, but when we are grown adults, we sure as hell have a choice in who we want in our close circle of friends. I don't associate racists and biggets - do you? But then again, I am, as Obama himself called me, a "typical white person."
It the same crap that Democrat Senator Robert Byrd tries to pull when confronted about his joining the KKK.- RoroCo, on 03/27/2008, -4/+2KKK.... Quotes taken out of context to make a pastor seem more fantastical then he is.... KKK... Quotes out of context....
I see your connection, but I really think it would help if you bring in Hitler and Gengus Kahn metaphors as well. Every one knows those metaphors work well to establish creditability.- oldhick, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Way to dodge the comment. You can't deny that Wright has made some extremely racist comments in his speeches. He clearly judges people based on the color of their skin and the church even has programs that promote the "Black Value System".
I don't have a problem with him doing that and think its a good idea. However, he is using race. Therefore the KKK analogy is actually applicable and worth discussing.
Who can discuss race? Who can discuss values based on race? Would a discussion about a white value system draw condemnation? I would imagine so. Where are the lines drawn?
Obama gave a great speech on race. One of the most important concepts in that speech was the idea that healing still needs to occur and we need to talk about things to understand each other better. Writing off that comment and cracking wise does nothing... - DRINKxREDxBULL, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2Please, put "AIDS was a disease invented by white people to ethnicly cleanse Africans" into context.
- RoroCo, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1Fox News first broke this story with "The chickens are coming home to roost" That was a clear case of misrepresenting what the pastor was saying because he was quoting Peck with that line. He was even refuting that claim. Now... I am not saying that Wright is not crazy, but I cannot formulate an opinion on him until I see the full sermon they ripped that quote from.
And comparing him to the KKK is just absurd... It just is...

- dinot, on 03/27/2008, -2/+2You're comparing an african american baptist church to the KKK? Have you ever BEEN to a baptist church? There's like 5 around my apartment in Bed-Stuy. Plus, my wife and I are asian.
KKK my ***** ass. Try judging from experience rather than soundbites or shut your piehole.- DRINKxREDxBULL, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2I'm comparing one racist organization with another. Yes, I have been to a Baptist church, and the pastor there was not preaching racial hate. And just what does you being Asian have to do with anything?
- dinot, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1KKK = racist. You equate a baptist church to KKK. If that were true, then me being Asian in Bed-Stuy surrounded by baptists churches would create some trouble for me.
As it stands, it doesn't. So you can take your KKK analogy and shove it right up your ignorant anus. - DRINKxREDxBULL, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1I am equating a racist organization which is founded on racial supremacy with a commitment to spreading racial values, with another organization which is founded on racial supremacy with a commitment to spreading racial values.
The KKK also used religion to justify its ideology. There were many Baptist churches in the South during the late 19th and early 20th centuries were also bastions of hate. - dinot, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Church_of_Chri ...
does that look racist to you?

- theaceoffire, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Well, if they are all slime balls, then why care?
At least one slime ball is trying to force all the slime in the open, rather than force it through your rectum.
- theaceoffire, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Well, if they are all slime balls, then why care?
- DiggLive, on 03/27/2008, -2/+5I can't wait until the polls factor in her exposed lies about "sniper fire" and then when she finally releases her tax returns before Pennsylvania. Something big is going to turn up, I know it. If not, why wait so long? There's going to be this looming thought around her that the Clintons either covered something up or were and still are afraid of what people might find out.
- theaceoffire, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3She didn't say the detail of the tax return.
"I paid taxes. Got a return."
Woot, she did release them!
*sigh*
- theaceoffire, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3She didn't say the detail of the tax return.
- theuniversal, on 03/27/2008, -3/+9Also, before the Wright controversy around 13% of people believed Obama was a muslim. Ironically, all the attention on Obama's church and pastor during this controversy may have had a good side effect for Obama to the extent it helped to dispel that rumor. It would be interesting to see a new poll on that.
- JimmySpaza, on 03/27/2008, -6/+3I wouldn't be surprised if Obama really is a closet Muslim and simply went to that church for the political benefits. Then again, some churches, especially these radical black racist ones, really muddy the line between Islam and Christianity, so...
- MadKennyP, on 03/27/2008, -2/+5I wouldn't be surprised if George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and John McCain secretly meet on Sunday mornings to worship at an altar piled with taxpayer money and chant their hatred toward America while pissing on copies of the U.S. Constitution.
- BlackBob, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3I would be surprised if they didn't.

- nobody7, on 03/27/2008, -4/+3Well maybe Wright was right: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PqiTuQqdTgU
- fedupamerica, on 03/27/2008, -6/+6Of course it didn't hurt him among Dems. Unfortunately, in the general election he is toast.
- zephyear, on 03/27/2008, -3/+7all obama has to do against mccain is crush him in debates, point out his constant flip flopping, his ignorance of the economy, the fact he wants to stay in iraq for a century, wants to attack iran, and oh the list goes on.
- JimmySpaza, on 03/27/2008, -3/+3Yeah, like THAT will happen.
- DRINKxREDxBULL, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1All of the blue collar, "typical white people" (as Obama calls us), who come from working class families are not going to like being lectured about how they are all closet racists, how we have all been "breed to hate black people" (Obama again), and how we systematically keeping black people by a black person who was Harvard educated, makes over $4,000,000 a year as a couple, and lives in house that worth more than all the money my white, blue collar dad will in his entire life.
- zephyear, on 03/27/2008, -3/+7all obama has to do against mccain is crush him in debates, point out his constant flip flopping, his ignorance of the economy, the fact he wants to stay in iraq for a century, wants to attack iran, and oh the list goes on.
- fedupamerica, on 03/27/2008, -10/+4Of course the controversary hasnt hurt him among Dems, but in the general election he is toast.
- Ell3, on 03/27/2008, -10/+5So finding out your candidate is Mr. Un-American doesn't sway the Obama supporters? Doesn't say much for the intellectual integrity of Obama supporters does it.
Obama's got a very UN-American attitude about America, so clearly evident by his mentor of 20 years, his failure to wear a flag pin, his failure to place his hand over his heart during America's national anthem, his wife's comments about never being proud of America, his willingness to trash American sovereignty, his legislation subjugating all Americans to United Nation Taxes, etc, etc, etc.....
Who would have ever thought Americans would be dumbed down to the point where they would actually elect an anti-American as President of the United States.- chicofaraby, on 03/27/2008, -4/+8You should practice saying "President Obama," vuuv. Your going to have to say it for eight years starting in a few months.
- JimmySpaza, on 03/27/2008, -8/+3Only in your dreams...
- Ell3, on 03/27/2008, -5/+1I think you're wrong. If I were an American, and he won, then I would support him as much as I could. You don't always get what you want in politics, but you still need to support your leaders.
- Acewrap, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Uh, no. You need to support you leaders when you live under a totalitarian government, not a democratic one. I can see how you would be confused after having to live under the current regime for eight years.
- borneo66, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2Can I buy weed off of you?
- oldhick, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1@acewrap, I agree and disagree with that view. To some extent we must remain true to our ideals. But we can often do that while supporting elected leaders from a party other than our own. If we refuse to do this than we are left with partisan bickering and nothing gets accomplished.
Failure to support our elected leaders and their failures to interact with each other will prevent things like universal health-care from happening. Partisan bickering will prevent the closing of Guantanamo Bay.
I am not an obama man. I'm looking at Nader or Gravel, but I will support Obama if he is elected.
- zephyear, on 03/27/2008, -4/+6President Obama
Commander in Chief Obama
i like the ring of that- hilikus34, on 03/27/2008, -2/+1I wouldn't get used to hearing it. He isn't going to win..
- steelersfan7roe, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Ell, you are truly a fool.
"*****" is clearly your number 1 issue this election. - LarryLacuna, on 03/27/2008, -2/+2***** you with your flag pin *****, Nazi Germany had pins too.
- kinseyincanada, on 03/27/2008, -1/+2really your going back to the flag pin seriously?
- chicofaraby, on 03/27/2008, -4/+8You should practice saying "President Obama," vuuv. Your going to have to say it for eight years starting in a few months.
- itzdiceman, on 03/27/2008, -3/+4Buried for not having poll references.
People are too blinded by "polls." When have any of you taken part in a political poll that gets any national attention? 83.5% of polls are not properly conducted. - 3ugene, on 03/27/2008, -5/+4He sure did lose a lot of digg friends over the past few days. Nowhere near Ron Paul anymore.
- zephyear, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3uh, he's always been behind ron paul in the digg friend list.
but he's gaining, last month obama was 13000, paul was like 17500
not like digg friends matters anyway though
- zephyear, on 03/27/2008, -1/+3uh, he's always been behind ron paul in the digg friend list.
- JimmySpaza, on 03/27/2008, -9/+4Buried for inaccuracy. Of course Obama has gotten hurt big time from his association with known radical racists.
Why do you think he's doing damage control and making special speeches in reply? You don't go into damage control mode if you're doing just fine. This whole Muslim/racist church problem is killing what little chances Obama had...and he and his friends in the media know it. That's why their doing this overtime marketing effort to sell a product that less and less people want.
Obama is finished.- steelersfan7roe, on 03/27/2008, -2/+5the poll clearly shows you are wrong, buried for ignoring the facts
- hilikus34, on 03/27/2008, -2/+3Clearly you haven't been getting your polling info from anywhere but here. He is trailing McCain and Hillary in most national polls.
- Acewrap, on 03/27/2008, -3/+2I just think it's funny how, since they can't dig up any real dirt on Obama, they resort to attacking someone he's associated with. Even after the attack has run its course, and everyone has made up their minds either way, they still try to beat the dead horse some more.
Find some original attacks. This one is dead.
- steelersfan7roe, on 03/27/2008, -2/+5the poll clearly shows you are wrong, buried for ignoring the facts
- swrostmore, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Its a popular meme that Wright is a "racist" and that Obama attended a "racist church." I'm curious, after thousands of hours of sermons have been gone over with a fine-tooth comb, can anyone point to a single quote from Wright that expresses "racist" or black supremicist ideas?
Its a fact that the guy has said stupid things (that the CIA introduced AIDS to Africa, for example). Its a fact that he's said controversial things that are arguable (God damn America for treating its citizens as less than human, inre: disproportionate sentencing, etc). And its a fact that he's made true statements that are controversial when a black man says them, but factually true when a white man says them (9/11 was "America's chickens coming home to roost" - US Ambassador Ed Peck). But where are the quotes that supposedly make him a "racist?" If they exist, surely the muckrakers would have found them by now.
