I've seen plenty of previous letters and info that she understands the Energy as National Security point, but I think the speech writers went a little over board trying to get her to list foreign countries and wat they could do to us. Still, I've already seen that she knows it...and so has Harry Reid, he's ben on the receiving end before.

    the most genuine thing that came out though was the expression on her kids faces when she was talking. You could tell from them when she was trying to make a GOP point and when the knew it was their moms point. Flat out, her kids believe her! A far as I'm concerned her TEENAGE kids took her seriously, and any of you who have or are teenage kids know how hard that approval is to get.

For just four years, I would appreciate a president who actually thinks about their actions and the consequences of them instead of having a knee-jerk reaction to every single scenario with war. I like Obama, but wouldn't vote for him in a million years because he doesn't reflect my personal beliefs, but I'm not going to attack him personally, but will disagree with his politics. It's not that hard to do, and surprisingly I can disagree with someone and still think they are a good person, I'm sure you have friends that have different political views from you? If not, try to diversify, makes Friday and Saturday nights out more fun after a few drinks...

        Seriously though, give it a little time, I'm willing to bet that she'll answer more of those questions in the near future.

    At the very least it should be clear that McCain picked Palin because he is unacceptable to many voters. Has he changed?

      Sarah Palin is achieving too and achieving without toeing the feminist line. She's making it on her ability.

      The leftists are afraid of Sarah Palin because they don't understand achievement via skill and ability. They only understand achievement via special privilege.

    I could see the liberal women squirming in my mind's eye. They must be so, so jealous, so we know they will all be trying to tear Sarah down. The liberal Men must be shaking in their boots because she can take Biden on and come out the winner. Go Sarah!!!
    Sarah is the one the American women have been looking for to champion so many things that mean so much to us.

    If the conservative base isn't energized now, it will never be. The base will bring home the bacon in November.

  • JLichtenberg, on 09/04/2008, -4/+3Everyone seems to be forgetting that she didn't write that speech (as far as we know -- maybe she's also a speechwriter but wouldn't someone have said so by now?). She delivered it with charisma, charm, bravado and pizzaz. She is a GREAT SPEAKER.

    Obama comes across as a phony with talent. She comes across as a talent with substance.

    We have to see her engage one-on-one on issues. But the problem is that (according to the polls I just read) people are really split evenly on all the issues and haven't changed their opinions at all in the last few months.

    So talking about issues won't help.

    So what is there to talk about?
