- ramiro, on 09/04/2008, -2/+42Obama has just been taken to the hospital with Barracuda bite marks in his butt cheeks.
- dn11, on 09/04/2008, -30/+2All I saw was a continues stream of lies and low blows. In other words typical republican rhetoric. I didn't hear her talking about how this new republican campaign will restore us from the utter failure that is the Bush administration - all I heard was weak jokes about styrofoam pillars and community organizing.
McSame/Failin 08- ramiro, on 09/04/2008, -1/+20Is it hurting that bad?
- inigomntoya, on 09/05/2008, -1/+1Lows blows and weak jokes, eh? I especially liked how you put "McSame/Failin 08" in your comment. Beauty.
- JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -13/+1I heard that "joke" and threw up a little in my mouth.
- covertress, on 09/04/2008, -1/+13I heard that styrofoam joke and laughed my ass off.

LOL
You come out of most exchanges looking like a dishonest coward.
If you consider that a "win", then I'm not surprised you are such a failure.
So, still too cowardly to enlist in the wars you cheer for, eh?
So you think being shown as an honorless scumbag you aren't getting a new one torn?
Oh, that's right. Being exposed as a liar and loser only matter when you have the honor to care about it.
Wow, you found enough rightards to digg you up. Impressive.
Oh, I see. It ONLY happens on rightard submissions like this.
That figures.
Boy, you rightards keep insisting the Dems are nervous.
I've yet to see anything that would indicate that.
Most people who would never vote GOP see Palin as a gift to Obama.
C'mon, rightard. On the FIRST DAY she was up for VP we found out she abused her power and harassed her underlings while blowing her budget.
Her speech was POW, war, war, special need, my son is going to Iraq, POW.
Nothing about the issues that really face America, just more rightard warmongering.
It was pathetic.
I was worried for a while that McCain might choose someone who WASN'T shown to be a right wing scumbag in the first day.
Notice this is submitted by a rightard who submits their own blog to digg. That's weak when you can't drum up readers who respect your blog enough to submit it.
That figures tho. Why be honest and allow others to submit you when you can do it yourself, then shout to the other rightards to come digg it up? - earryan, on 09/05/2008, -0/+5@Cryrightardcry
It sounds like you're arguing with yourself to be honest.
Not a political argument to be taken with any weight.
Rather an insult.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -2/+29They always try... but fail.
- sullivanst, on 09/04/2008, -16/+1Idiot. Democrats everywhere are donating huge amounts to the Obama campaign.
Apparently you missed the massive cognitive dissonance in everything the RNC speakers have been saying. This is why McCain will lose: he contradicts himself constantly.- Kirly, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9"Democrats everywhere are donating huge amounts to the Obama campaign."
good! throw more of their money away! they'll have less for the other elections. - planet87, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3Unfortunately Kirly, it doesn't work that way. All their money gets recycled. They buy advertisements in the MSM. Everytime you do that your just funding liberals... paying their bills, wages, etc.
- Kirly, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9"Democrats everywhere are donating huge amounts to the Obama campaign."
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -0/+14Hey, earryan, see what I mean?
- planet87, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9On MSNBC, I saw Andrea Mitchell after the speech and she looked like she had seen a ghost or something. Keith OAFerman looked livid and completely beside himself. I could tell he just wanted to lash out something fierce. Brokaw was the only person on MSNBC panel who isn't completely in the tank for the Democrats.... he's just 3/4 of the way in.

- earryan, on 09/04/2008, -5/+46I think she is a great addition. I really enjoyed the speech, her rhetoric is both warm, and comical. Good addition compared to McCains cold evil looking smiles.
- andrenym00, on 09/04/2008, -5/+45What makes it better is that all this bashing of her probably sent ratings through the roof and mccain into the lead by saturday polls

- LibertyForever, on 09/04/2008, -5/+45A leader is born. Let's watch next week's polls on what the American people think - the Dems' standard bearer should look as a midget compared to this American wonder - and not just because of her looks.
- 03FightOn, on 09/04/2008, -1/+23She looked a little intimidated at first.....then she took off and roared. Then finally she looked a little tired. End of story, she believes her statements, will fight to implement her will, and still has a sense of humor.

http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Obama_Had_Close_ ... - andrenym00, on 09/04/2008, -3/+39To the most powerful office on earth, he would bring the compassion that comes from having once been powerless ... the wisdom that comes even to the captives, by the grace of God ... the special confidence of those who have seen evil, and seen how evil is overcome. A fellow prisoner of war, a man named Tom Moe of Lancaster, Ohio, recalls looking through a pin-hole in his cell door as Lieutenant Commander John McCain was led down the hallway, by the guards, day after day.
As the story is told, "When McCain shuffled back from torturous interrogations, he would turn toward Moe's door and flash a grin and thumbs up" - as if to say, "We're going to pull through this." My fellow Americans, that is the kind of man America needs to see us through these next four years.
Sarah Palin VP - psiege, on 09/04/2008, -6/+43I still have chills...what a speech.
McCain/Palin '08 -- talk about energizing the base and then some! - 03FightOn, on 09/04/2008, -5/+24OK..she looked a little rough in places. I've seen plenty of previous letters and info that she understands the Energy as National Security point, but I think the speech writers went a little over board trying to get her to list foreign countries and wat they could do to us. Still, I've already seen that she knows it...and so has Harry Reid, he's ben on the receiving end before.
the most genuine thing that came out though was the expression on her kids faces when she was talking. You could tell from them when she was trying to make a GOP point and when the knew it was their moms point. Flat out, her kids believe her! A far as I'm concerned her TEENAGE kids took her seriously, and any of you who have or are teenage kids know how hard that approval is to get. - johnny2k, on 09/04/2008, -4/+40I think I just became a Covertress fan for how fast this blog was put up after the speech! That was pretty good quality stuff, and in a short amount of time! Excellent work!
Oh, I should mention, Sarah "Barracuda" Palin just chewed the Democrat candidate to pieces! What a fantastic speech! Rush Limbaugh was right, she would absolutely raise the roof at the convention center. That she did! Did you notice the look in her eyes? She's on a mission! Watch out, America! Sarah just knows how to connect. And they thought Barry was elequent. He doesn't hold a candle to her!- covertress, on 09/04/2008, -1/+23Thank you, johnny2k. What is this ***** obsession Republicans have with presenting their candidate as the toughest in the race as if they are going to enter a siberian death match? For just four years, I would appreciate a president who actually thinks about their actions and the consequences of them instead of having a knee-jerk reaction to every single scenario with war. We get it Palin, your ready to wrestle a moose and kill a muslim with your bare hands... Now how the ***** are you going to help out with the economy, or health care, or the environment, or education, or anything else that contributes to productivity, and I'm not talking about the goddamn population. Start hitting the books girl, you need to get up to speed on this ***** fast.- jamessavik, on 09/04/2008, -3/+19What's the democratic obsession with raging pussies?
And whose f-ing brilliant idea was running a candidate with the middle name of Hussien?- mummbleswers, on 09/04/2008, -3/+1Exactly what I'm talking about - this frat-boy idiot mentality. Anybody who is educated is a pussy - You guys all talk that tough *****, but the person you put in charge will never spend a day in war, so it's easy for them to talk so much dumb *****. How has that tough guy stance been working out for you guys anyway? A never-ending war, our homeland is falling apart for lack of funds, we're a joke as far as education goes (which by the way is one of the ways china and india are going to kill us in the global market) and YOU GUYS NEVER CAUGHT THE GUY WHO ATTACKED US IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! Boy talking tough seems to be working out great for you.
And who's idea was it? Hmmm... I don't know, maybe people who believe Americans aren't so ***** stupid that just because the guy shares a middle name with a former dictator that they're the same person. James? You think there was anybody in Hitler's army named James? Or George? If there was, you must be the same as a nazi. That logic is ignorant, and as much as I know you guys loved that whole white men rule everything era of the 50's - IT'S OVER. GROW UP.

Speaking of knee jerk.... really you need to get a sense of humor, it was a funny line. I thought it was funny and one of my dogs is a pit bull and he's a darling, so I didn't take offense. And please, you have a picture of a gun pointing at a kitten on your profile page, people in glass houses etc..etc... And your personal attack on her was quite graphic, really an imagination you have there. She's really got you Dems scared and I'm liking it.- mummbleswers, on 09/04/2008, -2/+1I like pitbulls too, when they're raised right. I get that it's a joke, but still answer the question, why do I need an attack dog in the white house? She never covered any of the things I mention as to how she is going to help education, or health care, or that it's even a priority for her. It's always about military and family - that's great, but it's not my values. And you can tell by my pic I have a sense of humor, that cat with the gun pointed thing, is ridiculous. I though it was funny, but I'm not running for office and I'm not looking to start more wars. I'm not scared of her - it's just driving me up the ***** wall how full of ***** the neo-cons have been with her pick! You see that latest daily show clip? That's what is driving me nuts!
- txchica, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on the sense of humor thing, but I figured out where you're going wrong....you're getting your news from the daily show!!! Sorry, I just couldn't help myself there, but seriously, give her a chance, she's been a bit busy with all the BS the MSM has been throwing at her (lies about her baby, and the attacks on her family etc.). Now we need an attack dog in the White House because if she's not seen as tough, then she won't be taken seriously, so she can be tough and do it with a smile, and terrorists and countries like Russia see strength as a good thing, weakness is to be taken advantage of.
Now you had a very telling statement when you said "my values", that's the point, she's out there in support of "her values" and those values echo the values of millions of people in this country. That doesn't mean that you have to attack her because she doesn't meet your criteria. I like Obama, but wouldn't vote for him in a million years because he doesn't reflect my personal beliefs, but I'm not going to attack him personally, but will disagree with his politics. It's not that hard to do, and surprisingly I can disagree with someone and still think they are a good person, I'm sure you have friends that have different political views from you? If not, try to diversify, makes Friday and Saturday nights out more fun after a few drinks...
Seriously though, give it a little time, I'm willing to bet that she'll answer more of those questions in the near future.
- Kirly, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9"What is this f***ing obsession Republicans have with presenting their candidate as the toughest in the race as if they are going to enter a siberian death match? "
have you not been paying attention to world events? it IS the equivalent to a siberian deathmatch!- mummbleswers, on 09/04/2008, -2/+1I just went down this list, and I know I am in the wrong thread trying to rebut arguments from you guys, but after reading your statement that being president IS "the equivalent to a Siberian deathmatch!", and seeing your getting dugg up, I just realized how f'in loony all you guys really are. The world events I pay attention to is how we're getting killed in education, most other places have free health-care, Brazil is completely energy dependent! And you guys keep thinking up ways to kill more brown people! It's remarkable how ***** we really are if these are your priorities.
- jamessavik, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1>>being president IS "the equivalent to a Siberian deathmatch!"
No dumbass- the world is aggressive and dangerous and we simply don't trust a leader that doesn't have a pair of big brass balls. Compared to libs which are constantly whining.

- dn11, on 09/04/2008, -32/+5Sarah definitely proved that she is a loyal Bushie and will help McCain continue the disastrous course the Bush administration has set us on. I respect Palin but am much more guarded about her ability to change McCain from the Neo-Con big government, globalist and war mongering type of politician that we KNOW he is. The following link has an article by Chuck Baldwin that asks some very stimulating questions.
At the very least it should be clear that McCain picked Palin because he is unacceptable to many voters. Has he changed?
I strongly encourage you to read the article. Not neccessarily to change you vote but to at least make you more aware of the greater dynamics at play.
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Can_Two_Walk_Tog ... - DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -18/+4It was a speech with no substance, but that's what the Republicans have been running on all year so it's no shock McCain's brain dead followers slurped it up. She did do a good job of reading what the Bushies prepared for her though.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -3/+14And Obama's speech had substance?
Like what? "The rich are evil" "Bush and McCain are the same" "Let's do like Jimmy Carter and tax ourselves into a recession"- DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -12/+1Obama mentioned 19 specific policy points and made no reference to rich people being evil, but did point out that McCain can't be a Maverick or an outsider when he votes in line with Bush 90% of the time.
I don't think you're going to get your McCain points for mindless comments like that one. - legolas68, on 09/04/2008, -1/+12And how many policy points did Biden, Obama's vice presidential pick make in his prepared speech?
It's flattering that DuggDowner compares the Republican Vice Presidential nominee to his Presidential nominee. - JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -9/+2Did you even watch his speech? He said something like, "Now I'm going to tell you exactly how I'm going bring about change." And he proceeded to explain, point by point, what he was going to do. His speech was ALL substance.
All Palin talked about (and yes I did watch her), was her family and then mocked him for actually helping people in his community.
Also, Bush and McCain ARE the same. And we're already in a recession thanks to Bush. The Republicans destroyed the economy, so don't you dare say that McCain and Palin are going to fix it. - vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -4/+7And every economist who has taken a look at Obama's plan says it will make the recession worse.
Now what? - JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -9/+2That's not even true! If you want me to believe you, you have to cite your claims.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/109786/Obama-Holds-Lead ...
Obama has the lead when it comes to the economy, and the economy is the MAIN issue of this election. Here's a list of economists that support Obama, and agree that he WON'T "make the recession worse."
http://econ4obama.blogspot.com/2008/06/obama-econo ...
You don't even deny that the Republicans have destroyed the economy. John McCain voted with Bush 100% of the time in 2008. So how is he going to fix the economy by doing the same things as Bush?
Idiot. Go educate yourself. - JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -6/+2Just going to digg me down? Not going to reply?
- JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -6/+2Way to stick up for yourselves.
- DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -2/+2It's pretty typical for vex and his McCain toadies to bury their heads in the sand when confronted with the truth.
- DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -12/+1Obama mentioned 19 specific policy points and made no reference to rich people being evil, but did point out that McCain can't be a Maverick or an outsider when he votes in line with Bush 90% of the time.
- TheInformer, on 09/04/2008, -3/+7Just like Obama read what the people that control his campaign wrote for him. Wish you would have mentioned that in your post.
- DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -6/+3Obama wrote his own speech for the convention. It was mentioned a lot in the press. But I'm sure you were too busy whining about Obama's set design to notice that.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -3/+8Jon Favreau writes Obama's speeches.
The press will lie or cover up Obama's weaknesses any chance they get. They've lost all credibility.
They can make it up though when I see 50 or 60 stories detailing Obama's history with Frank Marshall Davis or Bill Ayers or this Saudi dude that was just recently discovered.
But until then, their "mentioning" Obama writes his own speeches is a load of *****. - JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -5/+3Jon Favreau is certainly a speechwriter for Obama.
He did not write Obama's convention speech. That was well documented. - JekJob, on 09/04/2008, -5/+3Oh, here's the link:
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,183 ... - DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -2/+1Sorry Vex, once again you are lying. Everyone knows Obama wrote his own speech for the convention. It's typical of the McCain camp to lie and lie and lie. Hope you got your McCain points for helping him out.
- TheInformer, on 09/04/2008, -2/+2"Just like Obama read what the people that control his campaign wrote for him."
I didn't specifically mention any one speech Obama gave, DuggDowner, so your comment of "Obama wrote his own speech for the convention... But I'm sure you were too busy whining about Obama's set design to notice that." is an incorrect assumption on your part.
I'm sure you were too busy trying to think up an insult to notice that.
So Obama writes every speech that he gives? No one else writes any speeches for him? - DuggDowner, on 09/04/2008, -2/+1Informer, if you're going to claim Obama only reads what people write for him expect people to push back on your misinformation.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -3/+14And Obama's speech had substance?
- ericjohnson0, on 09/04/2008, -2/+22Meanwhile, in an ominous turn of events for the Obama camp, members of Hillary's staff say Palin has been unfairly attacked for being... a woman:

And who knew the best man for the job would be a woman?
http://thesaloon.net/blog/_archives/2008/9/4/38681 ...- TheInformer, on 09/04/2008, -0/+18After reading what Politico calls a 'column', it's obvious they are flailing around, along with their buddies at Huffingtonpost,Thinkprogress, Dailykos, Moveon, and Pravda.ru, because they are afraid of Palin.
When Clarence Thomas made it to the Supreme Court on his ability and not handouts, the leftists viciously attacked him because he didn't toe their line. How dare a man with black skin achieve without the handouts and affirmative action created by the Democrats?
Sarah Palin is achieving too and achieving without toeing the feminist line. She's making it on her ability.
The leftists are afraid of Sarah Palin because they don't understand achievement via skill and ability. They only understand achievement via special privilege.- Kirly, on 09/04/2008, -0/+13The lefties aren't just afraid, they are TERRIFIED! can't you see it? they are apoplectic! it's an awesome sight to behold. the more they squeal, the more you know you've stuck 'em like the pigs they are!

- cashman57, on 09/04/2008, -13/+1I have to admit that she is by far a better speaker than Biden or OBushma. It is unfortunate she has hitched her wagon to a weak horse.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -2/+22You'll notice that the Obamas, the Clintons, and the Bidens of the world always play the victim.
Sarah Palin comes across as a doer.. a winner. Americans eat that ***** up.
Obama / Biden is in for a world of hurt. - Birdie1111, on 09/04/2008, -1/+20This was such a Great speech. Sarah is an All-American Mom and achieving lady. I couldn't cheer loud enough!!!
I could see the liberal women squirming in my mind's eye. They must be so, so jealous, so we know they will all be trying to tear Sarah down. The liberal Men must be shaking in their boots because she can take Biden on and come out the winner. Go Sarah!!!
Sarah is the one the American women have been looking for to champion so many things that mean so much to us.
So>>>>Move over you elites with your " I am better than anyone else', wine-drinking Phonies, We have a REAL Person here now. I AM NOW SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS ELECTION!!! - davidmesaaz, on 09/04/2008, -1/+19great talk...
- legolas68, on 09/04/2008, -2/+20I went to bed with a big smile on my face. Like I've said before, I am no big supporter of John McCain. I can, however, fully support a ticket with someone like Gov Palin on it.
If the conservative base isn't energized now, it will never be. The base will bring home the bacon in November. - ozymandias2012, on 09/04/2008, -1/+15"The office of the President is not for personal discovery."
What a great line. - 4Christ, on 09/04/2008, -1/+7Yes, I thought so too. She hit that one right outta the ballpark into Obamas stomach! Ouch!
- covertress, on 09/04/2008, -1/+7I have no doubt that Sarah Palin is going to perform VERY well against Joe Biden in their upcoming veep debate on Oct. 2. Further, I'm thinking the democrats will look back on it as the "kerblewie in St. Louis."
- JLichtenberg, on 09/04/2008, -4/+3Everyone seems to be forgetting that she didn't write that speech (as far as we know -- maybe she's also a speechwriter but wouldn't someone have said so by now?). She delivered it with charisma, charm, bravado and pizzaz. She is a GREAT SPEAKER.
Obama comes across as a phony with talent. She comes across as a talent with substance.
We have to see her engage one-on-one on issues. But the problem is that (according to the polls I just read) people are really split evenly on all the issues and haven't changed their opinions at all in the last few months.
So talking about issues won't help.
So what is there to talk about?- Stevanoski, on 09/05/2008, -1/+7None of the Democrats did either. Does that bother you?
- MC562, on 09/04/2008, -3/+1Rush used that same line on his talk show last week
