- diggeradoo, on 04/19/2008, -3/+4Ayers checkered past is nearly 40 years behind him. The problems of that past were protests and demonstrations aimed at ending the war Viet Nam. Admittedly, some of his views and proposed actions went too far; however, I think it's not much farther than some people might be saying in current times to protest the Iraq war.
In the last couple of decades, Ayers has become a respected university professor in Chicago. He has been praised by Mayor Daly of Chicago. He served on an Anti-poverty charity board with Obama, and lives in his neighborhood. Obama should not be considered as a real candidate for president because of his leftist views and his broken promises and his total lack of any experience which would prepare him for the job he seeks.
Obama is a warmonger so trying to tie him to anti-war is not going to work.
