Obama: "I Am NOT Running for Vice President" watch!
youtube.com — Senator Barack Obama implored voters here today to discount the political chatter about him joining the Democratic presidential ticket with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, declaring: “I don’t know how somebody who’s in second place can offer the vice presidency to someone who’s in first place.”

- kfed2, on 03/11/2008, -9/+2The interview, which has been replayed all morning on CNN and is making news all over the internet, provided Paul with the opportunity to clarify his true objectives for staying in the race. A popular part of the interview was this exchange between CNN and Ron Paul:
CNN: The flip side of that coin, you are the only Republican calling for a withdrawal from Iraq. If you're not going to become President and be in a position to affect that, would they be better off voting for the Democratic candidate?
Paul: I don't think so. I don't think they're very sincere. If you look at Obama's voting record, he's voted not to end the war. He's voted to finance the war. His rhetoric is playing to the people that come my way but he is every bit as much of an -- He wants to send more troops into Afghanistan. He wants to broaden the military. I think it's a fraud what he's talking about when he wants to really get out of Iraq. I think that's politics.

Sometimes I wonder if it'd help if people could only get positive diggs, that way you couldn't just shoo someone away if you didn't agree with them. The only "way" to see popular opinions after that would be to sort the highest diggs, and that would be a sad way to view comments.
- AntiMud2008, on 03/11/2008, -0/+11I am not hoodwinked :)!
Obama 2008- DavidtheDuke, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1The second point was a *very* good point, I hadn't thought of that. He really is putting her ***** where her mouth is (apart from the usual)
- mvanhorn, on 03/11/2008, -1/+16even Obama dugg this! username: ObamaForAmerica

- mrASSMAN, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1My balls have never shriveled so rapidly. :(
- jabela, on 03/11/2008, -4/+10Ron Paul for Vice President on the Obama Ticket... Now there's a dream ticket ;-) Or at least one that would keep DIGG united...
- andrew522, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1That might be an odd clash of policy in some cases... but I see what you mean.
- mrASSMAN, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1I wouldn't be surprised if he gives a republican vice-presidency. It's good to have two sides of an argument before making decisions, plus it would be a huge triumph for bi-partisanship in the government.
- Dr00pieS, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1I'm sorry but that's a horrible idea. The thought is great, but when you get down to the nitty gritty. Paul wants to abolish many programs whereas Obama wants to strengthen and rebuild them.
Dream ticket? Maybe to young people, but not a very good idea in reality.

- noreaction, on 03/11/2008, -2/+5Clinton/Spitzer 08!
- compu73rg33k, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1Yeah after he resigns as governor he'll be available to take a Vice Presidential spot. I think your on to somethin.
- soot, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1He's "too inexperienced" to run for the White House, but apparently there's no issue with him being put within the blink of an eye of assuming the office of the presidency. I thought that was something that you need to be ready on day one for?
- Curlz31, on 03/11/2008, -7/+1Obama is a fraud. He voted for REAL ID, voted to fund the Iraq war and voted for the 'PATRIOT' Act.
Ron Paul voted against all of those. - DaDrake, on 03/11/2008, -1/+2"Ron Paul for Vice President on the Obama Ticket... Now there's a dream ticket ;-) Or at least one that would keep DIGG united..."
You do understand that they are polar opposites on nearly every major issue except Iraq. Just thing about... Obama disagrees with allowing citizens carrying handguns (even with training). On the other hand, Ron Paul think the Automatic-Machine Gun 1986 ban should be lifted (so machine guns becoming more affordable... and yes, they are legal in the US but rare). Don't even get me started about health care, social security, the role of the FED, or dealing with the WTO. They simply are very..... very..... different. - bs0l, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1I don't normally digg Clinton/Obama stories, I got bored of them a while ago, but this one was pretty amazing.
Well said. - mrASSMAN, on 03/11/2008, -0/+3***** yeah Obama, rip the monster a new one.
(she really is a monster, you have to admit .. and it's ***** up that they published that comment after she stated it was off-the-record) - sofro123, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1Go Obama! You shouldn't be her V.P.! Not only are you winning in popular votes, delegates and states but she stands for everything you are against. Her anywhere on the ticket is not my dream ticket.
- suebee88, on 03/11/2008, -0/+1I am so GLAD he addressed this the way he did. She is so irrational. I think she's losing her mind and grasping at straws at this point. GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!
- MindyB, on 03/13/2008, -1/+0If this weren't such a serious race and a serious matter it would be comical. Seriously, how could HRC and her hubby even think of such a ridiculous and offensive idea?? The sad thing is that I think they are so wrapped up in themselves and their quest for never ending power that they probably don't see how offensive and stupid their idea/comment was. Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States! YES WE CAN!
- A12Alex, on 03/20/2008, -0/+0Obama FTMFW! Obama is so going to win.... hell there is no need for people to vote... because Obama has all ready won.
