Obama Caught Plagiarizing 2006 Speech?
bigheaddc.com — Big Head DC has discovered several alarming coincidences between a speech made by Sen. Barack Obama on February 16 while campaigning for president in Wisconsin and an October 2006 speech made by Deval Patrick, the current Democratic governor of Massachusetts. The coincidences would seem to indicate that Obama copied several lines and linguistic s

- p0s3r, on 02/18/2008, -5/+10Obama's a product, not a messiah. A good speaker when he has a teleprompter, but without that he's nothing. And now he's stealing other people's speeches.
- theuniversal, on 02/18/2008, -4/+6Not so alarming when Patrick himself applauded Obama for it and said that he and Obama have had several discussions on this very issue:
“Sen. Obama and I are longtime friends and allies. We often share ideas about politics, policy and language. The argument in question, on the value of words in the public square, is one about which he and I have spoken frequently before. Given the recent attacks from Sen. Clinton, I applaud him responding in just the way he did.”

*THIS* is the *SCARIEST* thing I've heard about b. hussein to date!! This jerk patrick makes dukakis look conservative. He has contributed to and lobbied for pardons / commutations for some really scummy criminals solely because he believed their race was a factor in their convictions - not their guilt, however. Basically, he's a jesse jackson-type whore with political power. - riotboy, on 02/18/2008, -3/+3OBAMA IS A FRAUD!
- diggum85, on 02/18/2008, -4/+0Youtube scares the hell out of me...You can't get away with anything these days.
- cyanide37, on 02/18/2008, -3/+3Guys, lets be honest. Obama plagiarized this speech because he used the same exact words without giving credit to Deval Patrick. Is this the kind of president that we want in the future? What else did he steal?
- chall85, on 02/18/2008, -1/+2lol at racist idiotic mccain supporters trying to get this inaccurate story on the front page.
- mal1964, on 02/18/2008, -2/+1Maybe he should of "CHANGED" it.
- kyleain, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3Don't meant to rain on anyone's attack parade but that's not a big deal to me, it's just (pardon) repeating a simple clever line. It would be like accusing the one he supposedly copied of copying Kennedy and so on. Personally I find it silly when people require you to credit whatever they find significant to whoever you got it from. Like if you make some great recipe for a friends and so on, and don't credit who taught you, well, so what?
Perhaps he thought the speech was famous enough that he didn't think he needed to mention who he got the idea from. Or maybe he was caught up in the moment and didn't see how to eloquently credit the person he supposedly copied it from.
I actually want other Christians to copy me and not bother mentioning me if it's what's most efficient. I would be very happy if Christians used my "bcuz u said so" line on anti-Christians regularly. Besides, I myself derived that from the "whatever you say" line, I think.
