Obama Campaign Finishes Itself Off - Through Utter Cruelty
noquarterusa.net — The Obama campaign launched a smart-alecky ad mocking John McCain ’s age and inability to keep up with modern devices, such as using a computer. Here’s the problem: John McCain cannot send an e-mail, not because he hasn’t bothered to learn, but because he is physically unable to do so.

- Dewhead, on 09/13/2008, -5/+20Obama's campaign just screwed up with the independents. Either they can't fact check or they are complete assholes.

Yesterday, the Obama campaign made an ad that tries to childishly mock John McCain for his 'inability' to use computers and his incapacity to send an email (WATCH HERE). What is the problem with this ad? That the reason for McCain's inability to use a computer and send an email is completely based on the injuries he received in Vietnam as a POW, where he was tortured for the sake of OUR FREEDOM.
As a matter of public record, John McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.
What is next, an ad ridiculing McCain's other disabilities? Is mocking the injuries of a WAR HERO in good taste? Of course not! This new tactic by the Obama campaign clearly points out the rabid desperation that the Obama camp is feeling right at this moment, all thanks to the silly mistakes that their candidate has continuously made during this election (i.e. dissing public financing, not participating in town halls, etc.).
[NOTE FROM ME: About those ten town hall meetings Obama REFUSED to participate in with John McCain ... Obama WHINES that too much time is given over to nonsense and not enough time is devoted to talking about the issues ... well, Barky, you COULD have spent ten town hall meetings with John McCain talking ALL about the issues and nothing BUT the issues ... I do not recall that it was John McCain who took time out in his speech to talk about pigs and lipstick -- it was YOU!]
Apparently, every Democrat in America is starting to realize that they are about to lose an election that they all thought was going to be a "walk in the park."
Nonetheless, our veterans deserve a lot more respect than this (no matter their fear of losing in November), and hopefully, the Great Wheel of Karma will show that history will punish Barack Obama in November for this latest insult and disrespect.

Posted by hapi22 at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Obama_NOway_NOhow/ - dzhuang, on 09/13/2008, -6/+11I am so frustrated with the turn this campaign is taking. While McCain's age is a concern and a good matter to joke about, it should not be the campaign spreading the jokes. Instead, the campaign should be focusing on attacking McCain's policy positions. However, both sides have failed at sticking to substantial issues over the course of the past several weeks.
- InRussetShadows, on 09/14/2008, -2/+13With all due respect, making mistakes like this has become a hallmark of Obama's campaign. Honestly, I think it started with his decision to locate his political base in Hyde Park, Chicago. Remember that he chose to move there and align himself with the rabid racists in that district (Wright and the Nation of Islam). No amount of spin is going to compensate for that fundamental strategic mistake; all the other errors result from that one, and that one beginning mistake was the decision of a seriously wounded psyche (both mother and father issues). It's not going to get any better. Obama is cracking apart under pressure.
- 03FightOn, on 09/14/2008, -2/+3I good thing to Joke about??? Is it ok to joke about BO's Race? NO. Age can be an issue, but until you get old (and I hope you do because the alernative is retty bad) keep your "jokes" to yourself.
- DuggDowner, on 09/14/2008, -12/+7You can always tell when the McCain camp is at its most desperate when they play the POW card. If Stephen Hawking can use a computer, McCain can too.
- scotty777, on 09/14/2008, -4/+11You are a damn fool if you think that crap is playing with moderates and independents !!!
His campaign managers are sinking him!!! - ugotz2, on 09/14/2008, -4/+10DuggDowner must be on drugs --- downers --- if he thinks that ad is helping Obama with anyone other than the people who are already voting for him. An insensitive thoughtless piece of trash that will just infuriate moderate Republicans who might have been thinking about voting Democratic this year !!! Suggesting that he should be like Stephen Hawkings and get something sort of artificial device to help him type!!! Please --- the damage is done. The bullet is out of the barrel no calling it back!! His managers screwed the pooch on that one and he deserves to be on the air again apologizing... just like he needed to apologize and call his dogs off of Sarah Palin's daughter !!

- onthetrail, on 09/14/2008, -3/+4Also John Mccain could fly a Navy Jet,he could figure out how to send a email or search if he was able.
this was cruel - grumluvr, on 09/14/2008, -5/+2It took me two minutes of viewing videos of McCain on youtube to disagree with this claim. There's no apparent stiffness or lack of dexterity in his hands and no sign on his face that it is causing him any discomfort. During speeches he walks around the stage with a solid grip on the microphone. In a CSPAN video he's very at ease with his hands. In his recent appearance on "The View", he interlocks his hands, uses them to express himself when he's talking and generally NOT doing what a person would do if he couldn't even comb his own hair. If this incident gains ground, I predict we'll see him show up with his hands curled in claws and if somebody points out the massive volume of video evidence, he'll claims those videos were taken before his time as POW. Sorry if I sound cruel, but he has proven willing to stoop to outrageous lies and if he thought he could get some extra votes he would do it.
oh.... and by the way... did I mention he was a POW!- 03FightOn, on 09/14/2008, -3/+3Try typing if you can't raise your arms TOOL! McCain has to arch his back raise his arms.
- grumluvr, on 09/14/2008, -0/+1Did I not just say I was on youtube finding video evidence. Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2y8dYwq01g from 0:33 to 1:00 he's practically making love to his face with his hands. (also 1:09, 1:23) Do you think he believes the keyboard is supposed to be higher than his shoulders!?!
Watch his visit to the David Letterman show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_I3Gr-O2Ak at these time slots you can see him easily bring his arms up (0:32, 1:37, 1:47, 1:55, at 1:56 he waves goodbye to the audience)
If McCain wants to avoid email, I couldn't care less. Frankly, I don't think it's the best use of a President's time (that's why you hire a secretary). He should delegate and dictate, not spend time on email. What does concern me and what the Obama ad was getting at is whether McCain is out of touch with people, technology, the "here and now" - a resounding YES
As for calling me a tool, you could have put 2 minutes effort to see that your response was incorrect. Grow up and take some responsibility in confirming the facts you're typing ... TOOL

- eliot2000, on 09/14/2008, -2/+4You Democra-tards amaze me. It's well known McCain can't lift his hands above the level of his shoulders. Below that, he's fine, but any higher, and it's not going to happen. He was a POW. In order to understand this, you also need to know that John McCain is such a maverick that he keeps his keyboard ON TOP OF his monitor.
McCain 08!
