Obama 'Birth Certificate' Photoshopped Fake
anobamanation.net — The "birth certificate" claimed by the Barack Obama campaign is not certified as authentic and appears to be a photoshopped fake.

- Pillage, on 06/26/2008, -6/+13I think the big news no one wants to talk about is that they gave the birth certificate to the Daily Kos. I'm sorry, but if the place you trust to dispel a myth or break a story is the Daily Kos you need to hire someone new to do your PR.
- InRussetShadows, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3Good point. Not CNN, not CBS, not ABC, not the Wapo, not the NYT, but Daily Kos. Obama wages war on the hearts and minds of his party's center, once again. Amazingly tin-eared, isn't he?
- zoom1928, on 06/26/2008, -10/+11Obama lied about it. That's not really interesting because that's just one of many, but the interesting question is why is Obama lying about it?
- psiege, on 06/26/2008, -6/+11I agree...what the hell is he hiding? And, if there's nothing to hide...WTF!
- Ridgeliner7, on 06/26/2008, -7/+7This is pretty lame. What is being said here? That Obama is not a citizen? That he isn't old enough to be President? Sorry, but he is, and he is. Anything else being claimed isn't relevant to the election.
- psiege, on 06/26/2008, -5/+9Again, then you have to ask yourself, why in the hell will he not release the original? I don't get it. Does this not raise questions your mind, or has the Obamaslime so invaded your mind that you are incapable of critically thinking for yourself?
- Ridgeliner7, on 06/26/2008, -7/+3Well, far be it for me to explain the "principle" of all of this. It is yet another "when did you stop beating your wife?" type of deal. In the United States, it has long been accepted that one doesn't have to produce documents or evidence to "prove" one's innocence.
Do you want the government spying on your Internet use, your IM's and emails? If not, I suggest you should support everyone's right to privacy. Running for public office shouldn't make that basic human right forfeit, should it?- zoom1928, on 06/27/2008, -4/+6What a ridiculous argument. Somehow you equate the Constitutional law written to protect the US with spying on IM’s. That’s bordering on insane.
The requirements:
- must be a natural-born citizen of the United States;
- must be at least thirty-five years old;
- must have been a permanent resident in the United States for at least fourteen years.
It is assumed (but shouldn’t be) that he meets the residency requirements since he returned from Kenya in 1988, but he has not presented documentation concerning the other two requirements. McCain has already shown the proof to reporters. Admittedly he didn’t do it in the best forum, but at least he did it.
Obama is a hypocrite. He worked to make sure that Jeri Ryan’s (actress who played the character Seven on Nine on Star Trek) sealed court documents were released to embarrass her to help get himself elected, but now he whines about the request for him to show that he meets the legal requirements for the job. He taught Constitutional law. His claim of ignorance about the issue is ridiculous. - BadgerDigger, on 09/04/2008, -3/+6To support Zoom - When you apply for a job, do you give the potential employer nothing to prove you are qualified for the position? This isn't an innocent vs guilty issue. Obama is not on trial. This is a show us your qualifications thing.

- Mike415, on 06/27/2008, -6/+7 Right at the top of the page:
"Standing in the mainstream media's gap to bring you full coverage of Barack Hussein Obama"
Yeah, I can trust this site to be objective. Waste of time.- InRussetShadows, on 06/27/2008, -2/+4So what are you saying? That you'd believe the press over a blog? Get out of the stone age, man!
- InRussetShadows, on 06/27/2008, -4/+5FTA: "The longer Obama waits, the graver grow the consequences of waiting.
There is one simple way for the candidate to clear up the issue once and for all: produce for public inspection and objective analysis the paper copy of his original Hawaiian birth certificate -- if one exists. If he's lost the original, he can request a certified copy. Ordinary citizens are required to produce one to get a passport or a driver's license. Surely it's not too much to ask from a man who aspires to hold the highest office in the land."
Amen.- BigBenKlingon, on 06/27/2008, -3/+4Wow, with the crack team you've assembled here, you're bound to get to the bottom of this in no time!!
Keep up the good work!- InRussetShadows, on 06/28/2008, -0/+3So you can't bother to actually read the article and refute it with logic (y'know, using that big, big, brain that all liberals supposedly have)? Why, I'm shocked.

- Roche, on 06/27/2008, -3/+2You people are INSANE. Don't bogart all the tin foil, there are a lot more nut jobs who need hats.
- InRussetShadows, on 06/28/2008, -1/+2And when you have no evidence to support your statement, pound that table. Pound that table, Roche! Don't bother with the facts, as they'll get in the way of calling people names.
- InRussetShadows, on 06/28/2008, -3/+4I'm stunned, I tell you. Absolutely stunned. The liberals refuse to read the article, can't argue against it, and spend their time slinging generic insults at other posters. Dang. That's kinda embarrassing guys, isn't it? I mean, that's the best you can do? With that kind of intense defense, Barry O is headed down like the Hindenberg.

(Bumped -- kos)
The National Review's Jim Geraghty, who (ironically) helped debunk the "Michelle Obama railing against 'whitey'" video rumors, recently wrote about a new set of rumors:

1) the certificate number has been blacked out
2) the Daily KOS acknowledged trimming the image
Honestly, I would like to hear some truth on the topic, instead of accusatory questions from The Right, and bogus images from The Left.
I think it is a very fair question: does Barack Hussein Obama II meet the basic Constitutional qualifications to be President of the United States?
If the answer is yes, then let's move on to substantial issues.
If the answer is no, then let's get get him out of the race and allow the Democrats to nominate Hillary!- mal1964, on 07/07/2008, -0/+1I agree 100%, It's a very big deal to me.
