- AtHomeBoy2000, on 01/30/2008, -1/+11WOW! That isnt so much an endorsement of Obama, but a complete ripping apart of the Clintons. DAMN! They tore them a new one.
- OwdenBowden, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1I read the editorial for why they are backing him and it seems like it (1) Did not have a point, (2) Did not reference anything nor any real reason to why he (Obama) is qualified for / nor can handle the Job and (3) Made absolutely no sense at all - just continuing to go in a circles - like a dog trying to catch its tale. Ultimately it would have been easier for them to say "We support Obama because he likes chewing gum and Hillary doesn't." than the crap they did publish.
Just from reading this editorial - It clearly tell anyone with a Brain to vote for Clinton if you actually want to have someone in office that can make, (wait for it here comes that magic word that all the candidates are using... wait... here.. it... comes...) "CHANGE" happen.

- u2wedge, on 01/30/2008, -1/+7don't forget that's on Hildog's home turf, too.
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 01/30/2008, -0/+5and MSNBC said that the Clintons have been courting the NY Post recently. Not only did they not endorse the Clintons, they tore them a new one.
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 01/30/2008, -0/+3PS: props for the South Park reference ;)
- brownmajik, on 01/30/2008, -2/+3Move bitch, get out the way, get out the way. Here comes the 08AMA train!
- Sun.Surfin, on 01/31/2008, -1/+1Well aren't you clever!
- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -9/+1They are choosing the lesser of the two evils, as they see it.
The most important part of it..
"At least Obama has the ability to inspire.
Again, we don't agree much with Obama on substantive issues.
But many Democrats will.
He should be their choice on Tuesday."
This is who they want you to chose because they feel they can beat Obama in a much easier fashion. I know a lot of you are gung-ho on Obama but you have to accept certain things about him, like....
"For all his charisma and his eloquence, the rookie senator sorely lacks seasoning: Regarding national security, his worldview is beyond naive; America must defend itself against those sworn to destroy the nation.
His all-things-to-all-people approach to complicated domestic issues also arouses scant confidence. "Change!" for the sake of change does not a credible campaign platform make. But he remains a highly intelligent man, with a strong record as a conciliator.
Those are the things I have been saying and they're true. They're not insults or attacks, but they are his biggest shortcomings. The Republicans would rather go against him because they will sell the fear of having someone with no experience running the country. That is an easier sell than Clinton, who although she wasn't president, she obviously played a role behind the scenes. Realize none of what I've said is an insult to Obama. They are based on facts.
Putting all of your partisanship aside for Obama, you need to look at it from the average, non-involved voter, who will see Obama from a mostly commercial perspective. This means that the republicans will stress his being new and untested. Do you think the average, non-involved voter will go for that? I for one do not and I am not a republican.
Obama with a record of experience at a higher level and showing himself to be geopolitically savvy is a no-brainer. He hasn't made it there as of yet.- brokenpolitics, on 01/30/2008, -5/+1I completely agree with your opinions. However, this year we cannot afford to pick between the lesser of two evils. We need real change, not hopes, not empty promises. We need Ron Paul!
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Barack_Obama_Don ...- Malevolant, on 01/30/2008, -0/+4Well if one is going to be Frank, Ron Paul doesn't have a chance either.
Once again not an insult, but based on the facts. I think a lot of people like him, but they see him as too extreme in some areas. The Republican base would never go for him or allow for him to be nominated. If he went Indy he might change his odds although it's probably too late at this point in the game.

- EditorResponse, on 01/31/2008, -9/+1"Now, Obama is not without flaws.
For all his charisma and his eloquence, the rookie senator sorely lacks seasoning: Regarding national security, his worldview is beyond naive; America must defend itself against those sworn to destroy the nation."
As a freshman senator and not knowing what to do or whwere to seek knowledge on what his job would be he was assigned by the Democratic leader of the U.S. Senate to work with with Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., to study the dangers of nuclear proliferation and pass legislation meant to keep nuclear material from falling into the hands of terrorists.
Obama was also assigned to work with Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., to improve oversight of federal spending involving Hurricane Katrina.
And Obama was assigned to work with Republican presidential Arizona Sen. John McCain wherin both sponsored legislation that called for sharp, mandatory cuts in greenhouse gas emissions. The effort failed.
AND THAT'S ALL FOLKS! He hasn't accomplished *****...but vote for him. He's black. Your other choice is to vote for Hillary....shes a woman. That is all the dhimmocrats have accomplished. They have divided up the dhimmocrat proletariat into two camps. Vote for a woman or a black guy. Neither one has any accomplishments.- actorboy, on 01/31/2008, -1/+2Interesting. You used "dhimmocrat" a few times and by your profile, you support Romney and McCaine. Clearly, you don't like any Democratic candidate. With that being the case, why do you care which one is chosen -- you will be voting for the other party. Unless, of course, you're smart enough to realize that Hillary offers the Republicans their only, miniscule hope of keeping the White House. In which case, bashing the best Democratic candidate makes absolute sense. So basically, whenever you post, we'll all assume the opposite is true. Iocane!

Just an old troll with a new name.

- Hedcutter, on 01/31/2008, -0/+2Financial ties such as the following indicate Hillary's primary interest in occupying the White House is not the American people:
Billionaire Vinod Gupta, the owner of InfoUSA, a data-processing and marketing firm in Omaha, has paid Bill Clinton "$3.3 million in consulting fees, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Clintons' campaigns and contributed $1 million to the Clinton Foundation. Gupta has given the Clintons the use of his private jet, and has accompanied them on vacations, including a New Year's Day jaunt to Acapulco in 2002.
Gupta's generosity to the Clintons led to a revolt among some stockholders in his company. They are suing InfoUSA, alleging that Gupta wasted $900,000 in company funds flying the Clintons around the world and paying the former president huge fees for little work." (Newsweek, Feb. 4,2008 edition)
Anyone competing in the primaries would be better for the country than the HillBills. - trghpy, on 01/31/2008, -1/+2Ahh, the New York Post, A Fair and Unbiased newspape... Wait a minute..
- CPoe, on 01/31/2008, -1/+2Yeah, because the media is looking out for our best interests...
- jamesstuart, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1I suspect that the Post has realized that the Clinton's probably won't make it this time - Mr. Kennedy did. This article
http://www.scragged.com/articles/chappaquiddick-te ...
explains what could be A reason why Mr. Kennedy might have decided to endorse Mr. Obama. Maybe he isn't content just to finish his "twilight tour" in the Senate. Maybe he wants to be vice-president! Only in America could the son of a bootlegger run for vice president. - Napoleone, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1Already on the front page: http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/NY_POST_endorses ...
- deltron, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1They're clearly trying to get a strong message across with an article like that.
- 00z003, on 01/31/2008, -2/+1The New York Post is garbage.
- helgew, on 01/31/2008, -0/+1As if the endorsement itself wasn't enough: "His opponent, and her husband, stand for déjà vu all over again - a return to the opportunistic, scandal-scarred, morally muddled years of the almost infinitely self-indulgent Clinton co-presidency."
- hostingpursual, on 03/19/2008, -1/+0Would you rather see Real History be made with Obama being sworn into office in 2009 and be the President of the United States for at least 4 years, or would you rather see at least 4 years of a Clinton Circus in the White House. A new Bill Scandal once a month for 48 months.
