McCain’s Reckless ‘100 years in Iraq’ Comment
ronpaul2008.com — John McCain ’s statement in favor of keeping troops in Iraq for 100 years or longer puts him out of sync with the majority of Americans, who want our troops to come home. Further, his comments recklessly put America at risk as such a statement will likely serve as a recruiting tool for Bin Laden and Al Qaeda..."

- V3n0M, on 01/07/2008, -4/+11I have a lot of respect for John McCain and his sacrifice for this country, I just think he belongs in the Pentagon, not the White House.
- WiseWeasel, on 01/07/2008, -0/+17No, he belongs in retirement. Give him a medal, and send him on his way. His rhetoric on fighting islamic jihadists is just dangerous and inflammatory. Fear-mongering and pandering should be denounced for what it is, a cheap marketing tactic.
- stcold04, on 01/07/2008, -0/+7Well said, WiseWeasal.
- wsmith68, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3Weasel, you are wise. :)
- Uncle_Joe, on 01/07/2008, -0/+8You're so right about that too..
- msonelson, on 01/09/2008, -2/+0John MCCain acted with honor and distinction for his country. I don't necessarily agree with his politics but he at least knows what the definition of "is" is.
- fonguleverybody, on 01/11/2008, -0/+3"I don't want to trade with Al-Quaeda. All they have to offer is burkas. I don't want to travel with them. They only get one way tickets." Maybe the thought police should arrest his ass! In all seriousness, the man is a war hero and that demands respect. Its just a shame he doesn't dish any out!

- frankfortpost, on 01/07/2008, -0/+13"Straight talker" huh?
I thought he was the most dishonest one in the debates I have watched. John McCain is finally getting some "straight talk" alright. I think he needs to take the good doctor's medicine and go to sleep.- mhawie, on 01/07/2008, -0/+2more b.s. politicing than RUDY?
- wsmith68, on 01/08/2008, -0/+6I was SHOCKED. I had thought of McCain as a moderate Republican. His agenda of biometric ID and infinite militarism coupled with an equivocal "stance" on immigration (from an Arizonan!) make Big Brother look like a little sister. He is definitely for North American Union. I thought Giuliani was evil, scary and self-serving. McCain is the most terrifying evil liar.
Tragedy is that many people mistake harsh authoritarianism as "straight-talk". NAAAHT!- LeeSoong, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1The USA should drop all pretense of any form of ethics or morality,
and simply elect McCain, Invade Canada, Nuke Mexico, and declare war on Europe.
E.U. Euro stronger than the US Dollar? - Not for Long! BOOM!
While doing that, Bring back the draft,
but this time, ALL men and women 15 ~ 45 get drafted.
(leave the little kids with grandma and grandpa)
Send the whole military like a swarm of locust to devour country after country,
until there are no more countries left.
Then declare the USA owns the planet, and anyone else has to pay rent if they want to stay. If they fail to pay rent - they get taken to the deepest part of the Ocean and dropped in - fish food ! (recycle, reuse, reduce)
The Global Total war would be SURE to create many great war Heros,
and the USA won't have to worry about the price of gas - 'cause they'll take all the oil on the planet. And they are the enemy of the US, because they Hate Our Freedom
There - now just forget that whole faked voting sham, and shut down the fake media too - just a waste of electricity. Power that could be used to manufacture weapons for soldiers.
And you'll finally get peace in the middle east, because there will be nobody left to fight...

- cashman57, on 01/07/2008, -1/+14It is time for John to quit pretending he can be president.
I know some people think another run will get him a victory but he's not going to be president. He's running the wrong campaign at the wrong time.
Dr. Ron Paul is the sole hope for getting us back on the right road. The other candidates, especially the democrats, don't see that the road we are on has a bridge out and we are headed full steam into a crash.- 4video, on 01/08/2008, -1/+2Yes they do.... haven't you noticed they all switched to "Change" as their main new campaign buzzword.... Dr.Paul represents our greatest hope for REAL CHANGE. Besides look at the wives of the other candidates... Mrs.Carol Paul - Ron Paul's wife of 50 years plus - will restore dignity and moral fiber in the White house. We do not need anymore "Monica Moments" Rudy is on wife #3 - and maybe he would dress as the wife? Sadly, John Edwards wife Elizabeth is dying of cancer, Miss McCain - well I will be nice, but she could be his daughter.... and of course we know how Hillary's spouse Bill behaves in the White House. Consider who should be our first Lady too folks. Just my line of thinking....
- LeeSoong, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1Spare Change - all you'll have left if the Obama Socialists or Hillary Communists seize power and enslave America.

- Sandiec99, on 01/08/2008, -0/+10Agree on retirement for McCain / White House for Ron Paul - the only real change agent in the entire race! All the others are for bigger government A or bigger government B. Smaller federal government sounds really good to me/sc
- jameskelley, on 01/08/2008, -0/+7McCain shows that he isn't interested in resolution, just "fighting the fight" with blindness. I hope it ends with his blindness, and doesn't come to visit me.
- wsmith68, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3Its much worse than that. If you think carefully about what he said it is clear that he wants a North American Police State. Sorry to be so dramatic, but after the ABC debate I think he is a vengeful megalomaniac. No one should let him near the launch codes. Little pills and gentle guards somewhere remote.
- frerad1776, on 01/08/2008, -0/+3Why do some of McCain's former fellow POWs still refer to him as "The Manchurian Candidate"? Google it!
- Trillion08, on 01/14/2008, -0/+2People who know, know to Vote for Ron Paul.
