- 3tcp, on 05/16/2008, -1/+3Why is it a fantasy when McCain says it but perfectly reasonable when Clinton or Obama says it? Obama would get out regardless of how bad it is so he has that position sewn up but it's not out of the realm of possibility that Iraq may be doing allright in 5 years if we stay until then.
Iraq will probably be allright in 2013 if we leave in the next year or two. McCain isn't wrong in his prediction and it isn't a fantasy, he's just wrong in his belief that we need to stay there for that long in order for it to happen. Iraq needs to be responsible for itself and they can't be until we leave.
