McCain Heckled By Anti-War Protesters During Conference watch!
huffingtonpost.com — McCain gave a speech at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials' 25th annual conference today, in an effort to court a key, swing-voting constituency. McCain's speech, however, was interrupted at least three times by protesters.

- blakecr, on 06/29/2008, -5/+33Did you hear the hissing noise coming from the crowd? Sounded like a "room full of vipers." I felt like truth walked into the room and then it was devoured by evil. Just saying the people in the room made me feel icky all over. Guerra means war if you did not know. For some reason things yelled in Spanish seem creepily straight from the mouth of God. That was awesome!
- StepCousin, on 06/29/2008, -17/+5Funny how two people can walk away with two very different impressions. You think of this Code Pink ***** idiot as Godly, whereas I consider her to be an overly emotional freak, completely devoid of any rational thought. And no, it wasn't awesome. It was another Cindy Sheehan type, who is only interested in getting her ugly mug on a news clip.
There's not one Code Pinker I'd do the honor of banging. They're all hags.- kineticworm, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2nay.

- wonderlandpr, on 06/29/2008, -2/+25Who says no one cares about the Iraq war anymore? The minority families who send most of the soldiers over to the Middle East to die, surely care. That was apparent today at the rally featuring the two presumptive presidential candidates.
And, despite the rowdy crowd at the Latino meeting today, not one hiccup when Obama spoke...just applause.
And the Latino vote is a GOP given? Says who? - danfive555, on 06/29/2008, -2/+22Good for the War Protesters, we need more of them. McCain does a good job humiliating himself; but I'm sure he appreciates the opportunity to be made a fool of by someone that isn't himself.

- ciaran036, on 06/29/2008, -4/+5Why? Don't like the truth? Would you rather live in denial and pretend that your country is just bloody fantastic?
- ufia, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3The word truth doesn't mean what you think it means. I think the word you are looking for is opinion. And they are many different opinions. Rejecting the ones you disagree with does not necessarily make your own opinion a fact.
- ciaran036, on 06/29/2008, -3/+2Okay opinion then. But Huffingtonpost has the best opinion out there then!
- btschul, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3No, I just don't like liberal propaganda, that's all.

- blakecr, on 06/29/2008, -1/+4it said Mccain = Guerra or McCain = War in spanish.
- TGMD, on 06/29/2008, -11/+5Come on, what's wrong with you guys? Let the guy speak! Why interrupt him?
We live in a marketplace of ideas, if he is wrong ARGUE against him civilly, debate him.
Here's a question: Why hasn't obama agreed to the series of debates McCain proposed?
(not a McCain supporter by the way)- SaperKain, on 06/29/2008, -3/+4Sometimes it is better not to have a debate. Like for example Evolution vs. intelligent design debate, it is pointless and makes you stupid.
- TGMD, on 06/29/2008, -3/+5Oh screw you, just because you disagree with someone politically you make them out as some ignorant fool who should be interrupted.
You're no better than the neo-cons.

- stfucupcake, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3Maybe that's the only way these everyday people get a voice to those that hold power and privilege.
- Kitrus, on 06/29/2008, -2/+4McCain is not:
-Civil
-Interested in Ideas
He is, however, for "marketplaces"- TGMD, on 06/29/2008, -2/+3***** propaganda
The left is just as narrow minded as the right. - Kitrus, on 06/29/2008, -2/+3The Right was long ago a respectable and worthy opposition. Not anymore. It is an antidemocratic force, a cancer to this nation.
Blame Buckley, blame the Kristols, blame who you want. But that is now the reality.
The right-wing establishment is dangerous. Period.
Democracy is a joke to them.

- ciaran036, on 06/29/2008, -2/+13Good! More of us should get out there and show our opposition to these illegal and unjust wars!
- Tess101, on 06/29/2008, -4/+12It takes a lot of guts, and principle to do what these protesters did.
If more of the sheep of America would wake up and start saying what they really feel, and get involved, we would not be in this war mess, and we would not have such a horrible runaway government.
I am a long time Republican, but I will not vote for someone who does not represent me, and McBush is not getting my vote, and Obama will not get my vote either. We need real change, and someone in the White House that will actually represent the people, and not the big government machine, and their lobbyists.- brokenspatula, on 06/29/2008, -5/+3interrupting someone takes guts?
all you need is a loud mouth and disrespect- SaperKain, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3What really takes guts is marching behind your glorious leader, committing crimes against humanity and when you get called on it simply saying that you just followed the orders from higher authority. THAT TAKES REAL GUTS. I don’t even not why am I responding to ***** trolls like you. I swear I could rip your head off right about now.
- brokenspatula, on 06/29/2008, -5/+3interrupting someone takes guts?
- invictus13, on 06/29/2008, -7/+4Oh yes it takes guts to infringe on someone's civil liberties. How ignorant can you be. Let down your indestructible leftest shield and really look at this for a second. You can protest all you want, all day long for all i care, but when you use your protest to stifle someone's freedom of speech, you are wrong. Plain and simple. Oh and if your brain cannot possibly cope with such a reality because its McCain, imagine it was protesters interrupting Obama. Then magically you'd be all up in arms.
- nblsavage, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2Freedom of speech doesn't guarantee that people will listen to you.
- invictus13, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2Wow, I'm floored, I retract my statement. How about this then, don't listen, but don't prevent that person from being able to speak.
- drewclouse, on 06/29/2008, -1/+3Nice try McCain, lol.
- Obamanist, on 06/29/2008, -6/+4Too many empty headed Obamanists what hell do you think will happen if we pull out. Will we all me magically transported to some sort of magical communist utopia? with free health care and 80% taxes?

- whataboutdave, on 06/29/2008, -3/+4This is not news. Protesters follow McCain (and to a lesser extent Obama) everywhere.
- itsmesunny, on 06/29/2008, -3/+7good for her
mcinsane is SCUM! send him to iraq - NO BODY ARMOR - NO NOTHIN! - crowbar77, on 06/29/2008, -2/+2How come no one is heckling Obama for lying on what he calls ending the war? At least McCain is somewhat honest, Obama wants to keep 40 to 80 thousand troops in iraq and just rebadge them as a counter terrorist unit. Than he wants to hire a ton more contractors, you know the guys that are above the law, to replace those who were withdrawn.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=yuQq70QSMi4- irfanmp, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2Counter Terrorist Unit? You mean CTU? I don't see why you're complaining. Anything having to do with Jack Bauer is a good thing.
- crowbar77, on 06/29/2008, -0/+3I thought Jack was in rehab?
- irfanmp, on 06/29/2008, -1/+2Counter Terrorist Unit? You mean CTU? I don't see why you're complaining. Anything having to do with Jack Bauer is a good thing.
- HiCaP, on 06/29/2008, -5/+3Yes, even asswipes have freedom of speech, and they always try to deny others of it.
and who knows asswipes better then Huffonmepost. - jlhoben, on 06/29/2008, -1/+7We need more protestors, more protests, more street actions, more alternative media and more democracy. I salute these people.
- Borgcube636, on 06/29/2008, -2/+4Plan: Get a large group of protesters, and seat them in a McCain speech area. Then, have them ALL get up at once and heckle away. Lets see how the police and McCain deal with that!
- str3ama, on 06/29/2008, -1/+6If you can't handle the criticism, stay the f*ck out of politics.
- SDeluxe, on 06/29/2008, -1/+4That was awesome. I couldn't tell if they were applauding McCain or the woman before them. If for the woman, then I'm digging them too
- BlackVincent, on 06/29/2008, -1/+4They should let the man speak, even if he's spewing hate.
