As her campaign imploded, Hillary shed her many fraudulent disguises and instead showcased her true colors for the nation to see. She mocked Obama, attacking him without legitimatacy or coherency in her remarks. She pathetically ripped his patented "Yes We Can" catch-phrase. She began to engage in pure ad hominem attacks with no real underlying point. She stubbornly proclaimed, after losing 12 consecutive primaries, that victory was still to be hers. Her numerous lies and false accounts have stockpiled and cumulatively buried her credibility. She exposed herself as a woman totally devoid of integrity or leadership skills, clearly unfit to be President of the United States of America.
And now, thank God, it appears her campaign is over. Good riddance.
After being caught in such a bold-faced line AND bringing Sinbad on a diplomatic mission I am amazed at the 37% favorability rating...I think I smell a Sinbad come-back tour in Iraq!
There was a time when Democrats could have looked at the Clintons in the same way that Republicans look at the Reagans. Its sad that the Clintons have destroyed their own legacy. Its time to move forward.
The superdelagates are free to vote their conscience. Therefore, there is no reason for hillary to drop out until it is clear she doesn't have their support. But the superdelagates are under no obligation to declare their support before the convention. It makes sense why she'd be staying in the race.
Her campaign can't live without money and I doubt she'll be handing out many more interest-laden loans to her dying campaign. Mark Penn's chin definitely needs money to put food on the table so there's one guy that won't work for free.
While it's clear that she's not going to win now, I hope that she (still) won't win in 2012, 2016, etc, or when she decides to run again, because you know she won't go away quietly ... :(
Never conclude that Hillary's mind isn't thinking of ways to subvert the will of the people. Hillary has her lulls but watch for the next sneak attack. Winning is EVERYTHING to Hillary and Bill the stain man will concur. Bill even said his family are not quitters but the in reality what he was saying, prepare for the next swift-boat attack on Barrack. Political reality with the Clinton's not caring about a Democrat in office IF not Hillary.
If she wants to stay in, that's her right. But she should take a different approach. Instead of trying to beat Obama on rhetoric, popularity, delegates, votes ... which she cannot, she should show statesman-like grace and decide to "suspend major campaign activities" or something, without supporting Obama. Whether she fights this race or simply remains on the ballot, her only hope is if Obama implodes like Gary Heart did in 88 or whatever. Either way, she'll lose if he doesn't implode and win if he does. So why not impress the party and the country and stop attacking him.
All you Obamcons are trying to convince the world that it is over. How very republican of you! LET THE PROCESS PLAY OUT. What do you have to lose. The way Obama is headed having an extra liberal in the closet may be helpful. From your friends at Whack-a-Mole...
you can hate Hillary all you want. but wait till November to see whos gonna be in white house.
do you really think half muslim black man going to win this election? Do you really think America going to vote for muslim in time of war with muslims? Think again he is black AND he is muslim! America ain't that stupid. you diggers are too techie to understand anything about politics. wait till November to see true color of this country.
You know, before Super-Tuesday, I was thinking... "Ok, well either one (I would have voted for Ron Paul since I donated to him, but Independants cant vote for repubs in CA primaries) would be fine, as long as its not Romney or Huckabee.
Now I find myself Obama or McCain (Please Obama! He won me over with his rantional thinking and the "rise above-ness" of his campaign) would be fine, as long as its not Hillary. She is petty, vendictive, misleading... The list goes on... She should just drop out.
The problem is that people realize that Hillary will do ANYTHING to be President. She must be stopped. Here's how: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CYQ4QvR-O0Q
While I do fully support Obama in his campaign, and mostly loathe the idea of Hillary in 2008, can we please quit digging this crap up? It's this same anti-hillary pro-Obama propoganda day in and day out. I'd like to see some variety.
She should save face and drop out.. the math just isn't there for her.. Her stubbornness is rivaled only by Bush's stance on the war, but yea, lets just let it play out.. that always works...
Mrs. Clinton should take the time to focus on McCain. She can play the bad cop to Obama's good cop. It will help the party. It will get the Democrats off her back. It will keep her in the race. It might even get her approval ratings up. If it helps Obama, so what, he's likely to win anyway. He can then pay you back. If it really works it will help her. If she wants to stay in the race her and Obama should tag team McCain to take full advantage of having two Democrats who own the spotlight right now.
Hillary's already indicated that she's going to fight it out at the convention. She's said that delegates don't need to honor the wishes of those that voted in the primaries. So much for making every vote count. She couldn't care less about her party or her country. All that matters to her is that she becomes president.
Honestly this woman seems evil to me. The whole Clinton marrage seems like a well planned business deal to capture the white house twice by the business partners. The only people that I've talked to that plan on voting for here say one of the following two thing;
1. I'm voting for her because she is a woman. (Yes but you know she is pure evil?) Yes I do and it doesn't matter.
2. I'd like to see Bill back in the White House because those were the best of times.
Personally I want see Obama get the nomination so for the first time ever I can vote someone I actually like and respect; Obama.
Unfortunately, she's going to stay till the end; you never know what the next scandal is that will be posted on YouTube. I doubt that the Clintons are out of ammo. I'd be very surprised if Rev. Wright was the first, last and only issue Obama has to spin.
Thought you might like to read the following:
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.
Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars; 6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
Don't underestimate how venomous the Clintons can get. The best thing is for the Democratic heavyweights to put pressure on Hillary to back off for the good of the party. But don't count on that happening. She could care less about the party or whether her actions will hurt the Democrats in the election. This is all about her ego and gaining power. The party's leadership should cut her off asap before she does any real damage.
I am putting a MASSIVE bet on HC at this point. I have been cheated like this too many times before on reality television. The underdog will win but the bookies/pundits hedge their bets. If she's going to steal the election at least I can make some $$ along the way.
12%? Are they kidding, or just afraid of being wrong? These media types don't seem to get the beauty of percentages. They can give her a generous 0.001 % and still not be considered "wrong" if Hillary manages to win.
The propaganda on this site is overwhelming, seemingly intelligent people completely irrationally spewing hatred. I like Obama but he isn't a magic bullet for America, he has pretty much the same policies as HC, he seems to be wooing voters with crap like, 'a vote for hope and change and a new way to do politics'. How do people fall for this stuff every time?
Wake up, even if Obama tries he is not going to be able to shake up Washington. The stuff about HC lieing is overblown, if you actually take the time to read (shock) both sides of the propaganda you see things like the 'Bosnia lie' weren't actually as bad as they were made out, in fact the pilot did make a military landing and warned her that they may come under fire. The way it has been spun by and lapped up by the media is incredible.
Compare policies instead of rhetoric and propaganda, for example her policy to tackle the sub prime issue (oh you haven't heard about that.. funny that) is very positive but hasn't been reported, whereas when some chump asks Chelsea if Monica Lewinsky negatively affected the campaign the media stick it on a loop for 72 hours.
What the hell is going on America, I would probably vote for Obama too, but the hatred and propaganda on sites like digg is truly scary and does this country a disservice, it seems even that educated Americans are totally vulnerable to the lamest propaganda.
Is Hillary fighting a loosing battle, or is she just as stubborn about reality as Bush is about the Iraq War (and its subsequent consequences on humanity, not to mention the economy and innocent lives) ? Perhaps, it's a combination of both.
Admitting defeat is a very tough thing to do, however, it's not about her or Obama: it's about a Country in dire need of a shift in its course, for the sake of its people. To the best man, or woman, goes the job of serving their hard-working, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens.
Now we see Hillary Clinton for who she really is!
She would rather see a Republican win the general election than see a RIVAL Democrat win!
This is nothing new. It's the root of the reason why Bill Clinton talked a dog off a meat wagon about being a new style of Democrat, then gave us more of the same old nonsense!
I have known many a great woman leader, and I would be more than supportive of a woman to be president of your great nation or as a Prime Minister of my Canada but I do not believe that Hillary is the person or the woman to be that leader...
Independents, Obamacans, and Republicans mostly already despised her before this movie. This is a documentary that the Clintons had pulled out of theatres. It is unbelievable.
I think that this documentary provides a framework to call for the 8 years of post Whitehouse Tax returns and the contributors for the Clinton Library, 500 Million. And would explain the Pelosi letters from the "Big Money Dems", and Rendell’s unwavering support.
So it could be used for reference material for the request for increased transparency.
