Either you believe that one of the roles of the press is to provide a fair forum for debates between elected representatives or you do not. Because of these actions, all of Ron Paul supporters will email Fox and express our dissatisfaction. We will tell our neighbors, families, and friends what has happened. We will let others know through the internet. Fox will have either two choices. They can include RP or let their reputation take a major hit. If they lose credibility, people will stop tuning in, they will lose money, and eventually have to go out of business. This is exactly how a free market should work. I completely respect their right to do whatever they feel like doing. I just want them to know what that if they proceed with this path, there will be consequences.
Could you imagine it being the other way around? It would be 100x times worse. The government would force the stations to do what THE GOVERNMENT felt was appropriate. We'd turn on these debates and we would have to hear f'ing government sponsored propaganda 24/7 because they would be allowed to dictate who should be at the debates, and how much time each candidate should get. At least right now we have a vote, and our vote is whether or not we tune into Fox (which results in them making money).
