Then Huckabee's website mysteriously gets redesigned to look indisputably like Paul's. And now you guys can't even be original enough to find some other way of fundraising other than that which Paul's supporter's championed?

    Sounds like a 'movement' devoid of originality. How can anyone support a campaign like that? Food for thought.

I can honestly say I've never been to their candidate's site. I don't care at all what they are doing, only what we need to do for our candidate. I think they're bored, frustrated and confused. Their negative posting, impressive fund raising, and smear efforts aren't gaining any additional support. Negative rants from the opposition only strengthen the support for a candidate with a positive message. Thanks for paying so much attention to Mike Huckabee!

      ...believes "honor" is more important than people's lives.
      ...lied about having a degree in Theology.
      ...lied about the signers of the Declaration of Independence being mostly clergymen.
      ...cannot rule his own house (as seen by the actions of his son).
      ...staged a re-commitment ceremony to dupe their friends into giving them "wedding" presents.
      ...signed a statement that women should "submit" to their husbands.
      ...called for the isolation of AIDS patients in an age where it was known casual contact would not infect anyone.
      ...hates gays.
      ...wrote a letter to a convicted rapist stating his desire for him to be released.
      ...says he's pro-life, yet supports the death penalty.
      ...dodges questions about supporting the death penalty.
      ...thinks an endorsement by the son of the man that blamed 9/11 on gays and feminists is a good thing.
      ...made a joke about the very serious subject of suicide.
      ...has no compassion for the sick and dying who find relief in medical marijuana.
      ...has no objection to nuking Iran.
      ...would send us to war even if the 435 members of Congress told him not to.

      ...has the audacity to call himself a "Christian Leader". And to those on digg who do not know Jesus, it would be extremely unfortunate if they believed this man actually was a "Christian Leader". When he stops misusing the Bible, stops talking about his prayer life on tv, and quits using Jesus as a spokesperson, I'll stop being concerned with Mike Huckabee.

    My name is Kenneth Bacon I live in Ocean County New Jersey. I own a small masonry company called Bella Terra which is no longer enough to sustain my family. Due to the fact of all the illegal aliens in my trade the profit margin is less now than it was in 1985. I have had a number of young people work for me over this past summer all of them at one point or another told me that they feel SOLD OUT by our government. Because they are not able to even think about buying a home housing in my area is extremely expensive an average house is 300,000.00 dollars. meanwhile the average pay for a young person is between 10 and 12 dollars an hour due to the fact of a influx of cheap illegal alien labor just enough to make a small car payment insurance, and a cell phone payment. if you really want to motivate the young people who really don't vote you need to reach out to them and tell them that the American dream will be there for them because right now it isn't. I do not hear any candidates reaching out to the young people. God Bless you and your family i hope and pray that this letter somehow gets to you.

Unlike native Iowans, most of the rest of America doesn't get to play the same crucial role in helping to kickstart successful presidential campaigns. The rest of America is anxious to help Iowa give Governor Huckabee the convincing win that he needs. Hence, the America for Iowa campaign was born.

    Gilchrist discovers candidate favors giving status to illegals within days

    Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist says he will have to reconsider his endorsement of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee after learning the Republican presidential candidate favors allowing illegal aliens to wait only days to receive documents allowing re-entry into the U.S.

    In a Dec. 9 Fox News interview, just two days before Gilchrist's endorsement, Huckabee was questioned by host Chris Wallace about an apparent contradiction between statements last year that he preferred a pathway to citizenship and his current plan. On his campaign website, Huckabee outlines a proposal that would require illegal aliens to repatriate and get on the back of the line, which could mean years for re-entry into the United States.

    Huckabee insisted there is no discrepancy, specifying that "the pathway to get back here legally doesn't take years. It would take days, maybe weeks, and then people could come back in the workforce."

    Asked by WND to respond, Gilchrist backtracked, admitting he may have been mistaken in his initial assumptions about the repatriation provisions of Huckabee's "Secure America Plan."

    "I'm going to have to follow up on this," Gilchrist said. "I had not seen before anything in Governor Huckabee's plan where repatriation and touch-back could involve only days, not years.

    "I personally need to talk to Governor Huckabee about this," he added. "This issue needs to be between Governor Huckabee and me."

    Huckabee's admission to Fox News directly contradicted a condition Gilchrist stated was a sine qua non of his endorsement.

    As previously reported, Gilchrist told WND, "Nothing I can find in Huckabee's plan indicates he is going to let the illegal immigrants back into the country the next day after they go home.

    "The illegal aliens, once they are back home, will have to stand in line with everybody else and apply for legal entry at the end of the line," Gilchrist insisted, representing what he thought was the Huckabee plan.

    Gilchrist further stated at the time, "If, in fact, there is no standing in line and waiting for legal entry, I would have a serious reservation about endorsing Huckabee."

    Despite the new information about Huckabee's plan, Gilchrist declined to withdraw immediately his endorsement.

    "I need to get answers from Huckabee himself about this discrepancy," Gilchrist said. "I want a valid explanation and I want it published.

    "Plus, I have some other questions too that you're not aware of that I have already queried Governor Huckabee's staff about yesterday and again this morning," he continued. "But it's going to take about 72 hours to get responses."

    Gilchrist declined to specify the additional questions.

    In the Fox News interview, Wallace asked Huckabee about the apparent inconsistency.

    "Well, I don't think there's an inconsistency," Huckabee said. "When I said a pathway, I didn't say what the pathway was.

    "I now believe that the only thing the American people are going to accept – and frankly, the only thing that really makes sense – is a pathway that sends people back to the starting point," Huckabee continued.

    "But this idea of the waiting years – no, I don't agree with that," he stressed. "In fact, look, if we can get a credit card application done within hours, if we can get passports done within days, if we can transact business over the Internet any place in the world within seconds, do a background check instantaneously – it's our government that has failed and is dysfunctional."

    Huckabee went on to say, "It shouldn't take years to get a work permit to come here and pick lettuce."

    He further specified, "But the pathway to get back here legally doesn't take years. It would take days, maybe weeks, and then people could come back in the workforce."

    That repatriation provisions in Huckabee's "Secure America Plan" apparently are supported by Point 9 of his plan, which calls for an increase in the number of visas available for highly skilled and highly educated applicants.

Those of us who support other candidates i.e. Ron Paul, Alan Keyes or Duncan Hunter are simply trying to point our valuable information regarding Mike Huckabee. I have noticed a Keyes supporter visits a few times a week as well as a hunter supporter and the rest who visit Huck's diggs are Paul supporters.

    I have also noticed that we all essentially say the same thing even though we support other candidates.

    I have also noticed most all opposing posts provide links to data, actual Mike Huckabee statements, etc. Having discussed outside of digg with a supporter of Alan's it's very clear to us and others that regardless of the information shared and the facts presented few of Mike's supporters lack the ability to keep an open mind and review the information.

    From my perspective it isn't my intention to seek your vote but rather point out the facts so that the same mistakes are not repeated as we allowed with "W."

    Unlike other election cycles I have never witnessed supporters who are so supported to there candidates :).

    Further, my personal attempts are not directed as a personal conflict with anyone but rather to improve your understanding of Mikes history. I feel inspired to warn the people and if you reviewed as much data as I have you would have no other choice but to oppose.

    Regardless of who wins it has been said we all need each others vote perhaps on some level this is true. But I will not cast my vote for Mike Huckabee at all.... Regardless, if Mike Huckabee obtains the nomination. Why? When you realize our nations mess has been harmed by those who didn't follow the rule of law then it's time to replace the status quo with new change. Mikes confirmation that he would not consult congress for future war approval is unacceptable. His lies before the youTUBE debate as well as CBN news regarding his Theology degree which his office states he doesn't have will only conclude he will lie about other issues.

    Some of you may feel the same way if Paul obtains the nomination but no one brings to the table the most amazing record that Paul offers. Just visit thomas.org and review his history. He will oppose the real id act, NAU, Tax, Federal reserve, etc.

    By the way regarding the Abortion issue when will the GOP members wake up. We controlled the house and the senate and still did not overturn Roe vs. Wade. Why? We had the marjoitiy! It simply means that they gave it lip service during the election cycle and my Christian brothers and sisters went back to sleep.... The bottom line.... Roe vs. Wade is still a law and you tell me why it wasn't defeated with nearly the entire GOP promise to end it. Paul's view would drop it all together from a Federal level once it hits the state level it then becomes a unfunded mandate. Overnight millions of babies are saved.

    In closing. I have asked Mike Huckabee what he would do with the recent report from the IMF regarding the devaluation of our dollar by 20% and his reply was essentially a non answer.

    I also asked if he opposed or supported the plans of the NAU. Another non answer was provided.

    It is my duty to warn the people of an unjust leader and I shall oppose. It is my hope when an issue is presented you will review and decide for yourself.

    No one has accepted my challange to gather 40-100 Mike Huckabee suppoters and I'll be glade to pay for a hotel meeting room along with a buffet so you can see many state documents and news from Mikes efforts as gov, I also have a short video to offer from recent debates and it offers detaisl of the way he plans to handle our nation. I come in peace and I look foreward to planning such event. I will not visit Alaska but any other state is fine........ I don't like Alaska's weather this time of year at all.

      Review the information is exactly it. So many of people are throwing out quotes and "facts" as if there is nothing else to them. By reviewing the information and actually looking at the context of the whole statement or story as well as the circumstances in which a decision was made it answers all the garbage being written. A statement taken out of context is pretext. A story or opinion can be built around any one particular quote, however, it doesn't mean there is actually truth or validity to it.

        Out of context? Go look up his actual bill he approved while gov which he signed off on to secure the funding for aboriton for poor black women......

        Lets see lets assume I get caught speeding and the cop asks did you happen to look at the speed you were driving at? lets say I was doing 85 (as I was a week ago in Iowa) I knew i was driving 85 on a main road and i was travelling at best two MPH faster then other car. I looked at him right in the eye and said sir I was late for meeting and I was driving 85 and then I stated that I was drving just sligtly faster then other cars. He agreeded with both statements and said wait right here. He returned to the car and gave me a warning.

        My point? He knew how fast I was driving he had proof.

        As with many huck post's I know what Huck said and I offer the proof of his statements. I have provided source infomation for you to review but I'm always reduced to a kook, ron bot, crazy person and someone even went on about having a bug zapper, what ever that is I'll never know.

        When I challange mike Huckabee supporters to gather 40-100 supporters I'm not asking you to hear me provide a speech but rather look at binders full of actual documents but you dind't even address this point at all but rather skipped over my offer and talked about another topic.

        So faith011403 will you go research the points I offered? Will you gather other Huck supporters and will you take a look at the docuemtments?

        Also, take the time to learn the differance between an Annual Budget and an Annual Comprehensive Finical Report. Huck raised taxes based on the annual budget yet the comprehensive finicail report showed hundreds of millions of dollars on hand. There was no need to sell the public on a tax hike with that kind of cash set aside. Take the time ask why he had two sets of books in his state.

I find it interesting right now that on Morning Joe, Joe said that people avoid Ron Paul on the House floor like the plague. If he already has that going for him, he will have no support and we will be a more divisive nation. We need someone positive not negative. His proposal of the enormous amount of pork projects is scary. I also am very afraid of Ron Paul's comments on his website. "And how neat to see celebrations all across the world, with Tea Parties from France to New Zealand. This is how we can spread the ideals of our country, through voluntary emulation, not bombs and bribes. Of course, there were hundreds in America.     Also, I'm totally confused by your statement that Ron Paul has proposed "enormous amount of pork projects." That is not true, unless you define cutting taxes, spending less, and eliminating government agencies as "pork."

    Let's review the definition of "pork." Remember, pork barrel spending is when the government allocates money for something that's superfluous and unnecessary--all to benefit certain constituents or special interest groups. Ron Paul has made no such proposals. If he has, please reprint his statements here.

    That's an average donation of $215.10 per person.

    Are donors backing out now? They've lost 56 pledges and almost a hundred grand in a couple hours.

    I'm an RP supporter, but don't condone that kind of behavior. If you do support RP, please act mature and respect other people's rights to support a different candidate. You can read Brett Harris's full message to RP supporters here:

      We have 2 campaigns here, one wearing the cross on it's sleeve, bashing gays and keeping the Christ in Christmas... all while supporting an immoral and illegal war that has killed into the few hundred thousand innocent people under the pretense of terrorism... oh no wait, wmd's... oh woops, I mean an EVIL dictator... or maybe it was to spread the message of peace and freedom and democracy! The other campaign gets no press and is constantly defamed as being either unpatriotic, anti-troops, America-haters, 9/11 truthers, racists, etc. yet has its foundation in non-interventionism, peace, and honesty. The second campaign must do everything it can to succeed in taking back America from this runaway free-for-all government. I am NOT going to be explaining to my children and grandchildren how I was one of the "good Germans".
