Even Democrats are Donating to Bob Barr
bluebloggin.com — Many disaffected Republicans and previous Ron Paul supporters are migrating to the Bob Barr campaign and showing their support. However, according to one of the comments on this article, even Obama supporters are donating or considering donating to Barr to help further their own candidate.

Hussein Obama victory, a strategy that worked unintentionally with Ross Perot.
Maybe we can get Bob Barr for Veep then he would have The Presidents ear when it comes to the FairTax http://www.fairtax.org
I can "HOPE" for "CHANGE that really makes a difference," can't I?- caferrell, on 08/07/2008, -0/+11Unfortunately there is really nothing going on. The Barr campaign is recieving very little money in donations.
Bob needs money to help break the two party status quo
Donate today please https://www.bobbarr2008.com/donate/- lajaw, on 08/07/2008, -2/+0Problem is, Barr is a part of "the Problem". I like what he says now, but look at his voting record. He supported Bush in most of what he did. Plus, those hard core Libertarians are for open borders. I can't go there..................
- caferrell, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4A wise man can and will change his opinion on things as evidence allows him to reconsider his position. Bob Barr has been absolutely transparent in his transformation and I believe him wholeheartedly. He is a great candidate.
- jfkdem, on 08/07/2008, -0/+9Every donation, no matter how small is important to a third party candidate to assure he or she gets on the ballot in every state.

- 4wheel, on 08/06/2008, -0/+22Maybe I'll be throwing my vote away, but I'm voting for Barr. At least I'll know I didn't vote for the lesser of two evils as I did last time.
- HxChris91, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7Too bad that the rest of America won't do the same. The whole reason that we are in this predicament is that everyone just settles for the 'lesser of two evils' instead of picking who they believe would do the best for this country. If people voted their conscience we would be in a much more positive situation right now.
- jfkdem, on 08/07/2008, -0/+8I'll be doing the same!
I've spent enough elections holding my nose and voting for candidates that were exactly that: the lesser of 2 evils.
I don't intend to do that again.

Until people stop voting for what they really don't want or don't believe in and start voting FOR SOMETHING, instead of AGAINST SOMEONE we can't make progress. - FritzKatz, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2Why vote for a lesser evil? -- Cthulhu 2008!

This is a quote from the article. Sums it up for me. Wish more Republicans would do the same.
"Whats wrong with ‘Flip Flop’? When you learn anything, your views change. Your attitude changes. Your priorities change. Thats how human intelligence evolves. I admire anyone with the guts to change. Bob Barr was a Republican Soldier who touted the party line for years. After the party was hijacked by radicals, Bob had an epiphany. This is wrong! This is not what I stand for! He changed. Now, he offers the alternative to radical republican rhetoric. People are more important than “the company line”. I view this as the same kind of revolution as early Labor Movement in the USA. I also view this as the US Christian Born Again movement. When change is necessary to survive, it must happen." - KyleVarner, on 08/07/2008, -1/+6Please, Democrats, donate! Donate your own money instead of someone else's. I know its a new idea, but just give it a try!
- JonGalt, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4To everyone saying they "may just be throwing their vote away but doesnt care":
I can't believe you would say that and still go through with it. If your not voting for your principles then your just as dirty and lowdown as the democrats and republicans willing to vote for men that have values as flexible as wet paper.
Try and remember that. In the end it's your principles that matter, not your vote.
Here's some:
-Free market capitalism (redundant to those familiar with capitalism).
-Equal minimal taxes for ALL men and women in our country.
-Civil liberties haven't changed in 200 years, vote for people that wont try and change them.
-A government that serves its intended purposes, ensure justice (courts+police), protect our civil liberties from domestic and foreign threats, uphold the Constitution.
-A currency based on value and not fiat.
-A republican form of government (not in the sense now understood see: Article 4, Section 4-US constitution) please also see: "referendum" for an example on how not to do this.
And I could go on and on and on... - NInjanomics, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2Remember, guys: The 'lesser' of the two evils is by no means 'lesser'. This is because it is the one that is carried out, and thus cannot be justified in this manner. Our similarities with WW2 Italy are startling. My advice would be to love, enjoy the time you have now, and pray.
May you be happy, May you be well. - machinepolitick, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3This is an excellent article. everyone who dugg it so far seems to have a clear grasp of what's going on. It's nice to open an article and see civilized commentary.
Whatever your stand, take it proudly. Fight for your beliefs, not some party line. That's one of the best things about the Barr campaign. He's making a stand for his beliefs and I think he has a strong following.
To all the Obama supporters out there - send the money. I don't mind your motives one bit. As long as it's your money, do with it as you please! - sportsstar67, on 08/07/2008, -5/+0Actually, hardly anyone is donating to this guy .he's not a factor in this years elections
- Prvteyes, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Where the heck do you get your information from? You are dead wrong! How else do you explain that he is going to be on the ballot in hopefully ALL states in November? Bob Barr is our ONLY hope for a great and strong America!
- Macil22, on 08/08/2008, -0/+6It is a common myth that Libertarian candidates take votes away from Republicans.
People who typically vote for democrats because of civil rights, individual liberties, privacy, free speech etc should all be taking a serious look at Bob Barr.
Why would anyone who would vote for John McCain (big government, big spending, big empire) vote for a constitutionally minded, small government advocate like Bob Barr?
I know Bob Barr had questionable stances on some issues in the past but he has tirelessly explained his change in views, he does not excuse himself for his past views and he is willing to learn from his mistakes, adapt and carry on. I believe that he is a good guy.
I urge all democrats to consider Bob Barr. - jfkdem, on 08/09/2008, -0/+4Bob has the platform that resonates with americans today.
Everyone should help him raise the money needed to gain ballot access in the remaining states.
He has a grassroots campaign made up of those $5.00 and $10.00 donors who really care about America and want to leave something better to their children and grandchildren.
Smaller governemnt. Elimination of the IRS as we know it today. End the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Restore the Constitution. Honor the Bill of Rights.
