Did '06 elections lead to the problems now?

factcheck.org — E-mail circulating now implies cause-and-effect, but a little fact checking reveals that it's mostly making the case "after the fact." (Or post hoc ergo propter hoc, as the latin phrase would put it.) Not a valid technique logically, and it turns out some of the premises aren't even true in the first place. Another myth busted.
