Guess it sounded like a good idea at the time... - TheNWO, on 10/13/2008, -1/+10There's a lot of pressure to support Obama from us young white guys, too. Someone said on a different thread the other day that the Democrats are tolerant until you disagree with them, and that's when they become bullies. I can imagine the pressure for a black guy to vote Obama must be even greater, especially when considering where this country was just 40 years ago. Obamamania is inspiring me to buy a George W. Bush polo shirt to wear to the polling place and to work on election day. I'll be respectful at work of course and try not to get personal if someone wants to argue.
And really... do these people think that all black people are stupid and incapable of forming their own opinions? Why is being a black conservative such a bad thing? - jonolan, on 10/14/2008, -2/+3People should remember that a vote for Obama is a vote FOR racism. Do you really want to empower these methods?
- Laorir, on 10/14/2008, -1/+1Non sequitur? Yea, I think so.
- steelsmack, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1For the slow, blacks are pressured into voting for him just based on skin color. Is that empowering the individual, or empowering racism? I think it's pretty clear.
