        Find a way to penalize the dumbass DNC members in both states, but don't penalize the voters. It's unbelievable that anyone can defend this choice. It's a lose-lose situation: whoever wins will be tainted by the fact that a huge number of voters were DISENFRANCHISED.

        PS - obviously the bogus vote would be tossed and both candidates should have an opportunity to campaign prior to a re-vote. Any comments about that are completely missing the point.

          maybe divide the country into 5 groups and pick one form each section by lottery for the first round, then have a new round every 4 weeks, in 40 weeks the elections is over and if your vote didn't count then maybe next time it will go first
          They could also have them all on one day but that would mean you would need to raise enough money to campaign every where before anyone had a chance to vote for you, limiting candidates to the rich and well connected.

    Also, to show that he can win white working class voters. States like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Michigan. Even California could be up for grabs because Obama's problem with Latino/Jew voters, and it's something superdelegates will look at.

        It's still a VERY close race (and delegates don't mean anything at this point, because as I said, neither can get the nomination with pledged delegates. It's a superdelegate decision now and they don't have to vote a certain way just because Digg wants them to)

If the primary suddenly counts, then you've gone from disenfranchising every Democratic voter in Michigan - which you can argue was the state party's fault - to disenfranchising every non-Clinton voter in Michigan, which is just handing the Republicans the state on a silver platter and horribly corrupt to boot.

          While it's true they won't completely decide things, pledged delegates do still mean a great deal. One. More delegates gained means less superdelegates required. The way things are going right now, Hillary would need to capture an overwhelming majority in superdelegates to win.

          Two. If the superdelegates override the pledged delegates, then they will massively piss off the Obama voters. It will look like a black man won fair and square, then had his victory taken away through backroom deals. Procedural arguments and moral arguments aside, this is what it will /look like/. And that means a massive number of Obama voters will revolt, severely damaging the Democrats' chances in the general. The superdelegates know this. That gives them a massive incentive to support the candidate with the most pledged delegates. When you further consider that Obama consistently polls far better than Hillary against McCain, I really don't see any way he can fail to get a majority - never mind the small minority he will actually need - of the superdelegate votes.

We need to keep cool heads and make decisions in the wisest way possible. I have a lot of respect for where you are headed with your arguments, but I disagree strongly that Clinton should get credit for votes collected in states that she (and the DNC and other candidates) initially agreed would not be counted. How can we say the votes tallied in these areas are a good measure of anything? How do we know certain sectors of potential voters didn't stay home since the vote was invalidated beforehand? How do we know that having actual campaign activity in those states would not have affected the vote? When you start saying these votes should count you start to whittle away the good faith people can have in you, your honesty and your cause. You must not let the extremism of some of your opponents influence you into becoming extreme in your own line of thinking.

      The Democrats of Michigan and Florida should not have the opportunity to have their votes counted. That was the understood penalty for early primaries. Their future votes might reflect their feelings about those who convinced them that the change was worth it.

However, I really like politics, I just don't like a constant barrage of Obama over Hillary stories or Obama over anyone stories. It may or may not be the case that he's doing well, but more than anything, I believe that most of the pieces of writing that make it to the front page are biased and don't accurately represent the true story. If you could help me by adding some sort of filter that only allows accurate and unbiased pieces to show up on the front page, that would be much appreciated.
