- Ridgeliner7, on 08/19/2008, -22/+5LMAO! Paul supporters are in no way Republicans, nor do the represent the values of the vast majority of them. And most certainly Ron Paul, of all people, would have never have stood a chance of defeating Obama.
- iMattK, on 08/19/2008, -11/+5Agreed -- though I agree with some of what the Ron Paul people are saying, these 11,000 people will be just a drop in the bucket. McCain is going after millions of independent voters this election.
- marco114, on 08/19/2008, -4/+13I am a registered Republican and I now support Ron Paul. Ron Paul goes after what the original Republican Party stood for, smaller government and lower taxes. Sure we all want no taxes, but we gotta start somewhere and he's the only one even mentioning saving money.
Sadly, I voted for Bush in the past two elections. No more will my vote go wasted to the monopolistic two party system. I will vote Ron Paul on every election until another Ron Paul candidate comes around. - Herkimer56, on 08/19/2008, -10/+5The original Republican Party also stood for equal rights for everyone. Too bad that Ron Paul doesn't.
- Kkludge, on 08/19/2008, -2/+3Cool! A baseless claim.
In fact, Ron Paul is actually God, and the Republican Party's messiah. It's too bad they still worship Ronald Raygunz and Abraham Lincoln, two of the most authoritarian politicians to take office of POTUS in American history.

- NeoConSlayer, on 08/19/2008, -5/+10"Paul supporters are in no way Republicans, nor do the represent the values of the vast majority of them. ..."
I've been a registered Republican since the day I turned 18, and I support Dr. Paul 100%. It's obvious that you have no clue what you are talking about.
Go troll somewhere else. - TruthExposed, on 08/19/2008, -0/+6GOP is changing their platform and wants input:

After the platform change, "Paul supporters are in no way Republicans" may beocme true. - Airforcefalco, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3Can someone remind me what that policy was that Bush Jr. ran on in 2000?

- vbullinger, on 08/19/2008, -4/+7I never even heard of it. That means a very, very, very large percentage of us never did.
Ron Paul get millions of votes in the primaries... look at those numbers. - reed311, on 08/19/2008, -4/+3Don't lie. It was not millions. Ron Paul got about 1.2 million votes, total. This is another example of classic Ronbot disinformation.

- Herkimer56, on 08/19/2008, -11/+4Someday you might contribute something worthwhile to the world. But only if you donate your body for fertilizer.

- wikipediarpaul, on 08/19/2008, -3/+24I've been a Republican my whole life ( a long time) and I have always prayed for a candidate like Ron Paul. Anyone who supports McCain is no Republican. He will continue to spend as Bush has. He will continue occupying other countries, He will continue the wars and probably inact a draft. He will continue to break rules as he has in his campaign. It will be politics as usual with McCain. Exactly what we have been living with for years.
- veeew, on 08/19/2008, -2/+15This is great, although I am sure we can do better than 11,000. It's a good start, though.
- Herkimer56, on 08/19/2008, -18/+7Eleven thousand is like...nothing. We don't even know how many of those "supporters" are actually Republicans and how many are just anarchist wannabes who back Ron Paul because he claims that he'll legalize pot. We don't even know for sure how many of those "supporters" are old enough to vote. I'm guessing that there is a significant number of them in their early teens. This is just another empty gesture being done in the name of a failed candidate.
- cyndezu, on 08/19/2008, -4/+14You're depriving a village some where of an idiot!
- Herkimer56, on 08/19/2008, -12/+5No, I would never deprive anyone of your company. God knows I don't want it.
- cyndezu, on 08/19/2008, -2/+8Then why are you here, there's no free donuts and 'happy hour'
don't start till after you leave. - card51short, on 08/19/2008, -4/+9so you believe 11,000 teenage potsmokers are supporting Ron Paul in an attempt to undermine America and reintroduce slavery?
Conspiracy nut! - Herkimer56, on 08/19/2008, -8/+3@cyndezu
Congratulations, that's one of the most incomprehensible and stupid comments I've ever seen on Digg. Your parents must be so proud of you. - cyndezu, on 08/19/2008, -2/+5U still here?

- sandsafari, on 08/19/2008, -3/+18I proudly signed this Letter. I urge every Republican to give very serious thought about their vote this election. We have seen the Republican values slipping and slithering away from the conservative platforms which were the foundation of the party. McCain is no conservative and he will continue to help dig the current hole we find outselves in. McCain also admits he is not knowledgeable about the economy...Ron Paul is and as the next year, two years, slips by...think of how much difference it would have made to have a smart, conservative, economic intellect in the White House instead. I urge everyone to read "The Revolution - a Manifesto" by Ron Paul and after doing so, if you can still vote for McCain, or Obama for that matter, I would be amazed.
- sportsstar67, on 08/19/2008, -16/+5Between those that won't vote because "elections are rigged" and those underage, I would estimate at the very least half !! And then let's not forget the kids who are just playing revolution on their computers
- kemp34, on 08/19/2008, -5/+8So do you not believe that there have been rigged elections? Are you that out of it? For someone who is online so much, you are painfully unaware of the world around you.
- sportsstar67, on 08/19/2008, -8/+4Of course there have been, son... that's reality..That most of them are rigged is Paranoia..Once again I invite you to join us in the Real World
- kemp34, on 08/19/2008, -0/+4So you are apologizing for rigged elections?

http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Help_The_New_GOP ... - CruiseCarter, on 08/19/2008, -2/+6The differences between McCain and Obama are minimal, when you consider that both believe big government can save you from yourself, and that we can save other nations from themselves as well. I will not play along with the game of lesser of two evils, as I believe that is part of what has plunged this nation into the mess we find ourselves today.
Please visit bobbarr2008.com and give liberty a voice in the Presidential debates and beyond. - Lhandroval, on 08/19/2008, -4/+1In related news, 11,000+ Democratic supporters to vote for Clinton in the Democratic National Convention.
- Lawofnations, on 08/19/2008, -1/+3Hello and thank you for joining me here at Reality Check. Reality Check is provided as a public service to prevent further embarassment of those who are of the impression that they will be voting for the president of the United States. Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 & 3 of the constitution for the United States of America strictly prohibits the popular vote from deciding who the president or vice president shall be. Read it and then focus your efforts on something more productive. Again, thank you for attention. Please return your seats to a full and upright position.
- Trustar247, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3Well, that would also imply that the delegates at the Republican Convention don't need to follow the "popular vote" from the primaries and should be free to vote for whomever they would choose to and not be bound by any vote rigged or media controlled popular vote. I would highly recommend them to vote for Dr. Ron Paul instead and sure enough, the Republican party would immediately gain another 11000 + votes and indeed have a much better chance for the presidency than McCain would ever have.
He might even be able to save the USA from the track of doom it now seems to be on with the current major presumable candidates.
Freedom Rules!- Lawofnations, on 08/20/2008, -0/+3I'm 100% behind you. I was the first caller taken on Revolution Broadcasting this evening after watching the DVDs for Delegates premier. I phrased my suggestions so the host could further clarify how we can get the word to those electors. These delegates are not in Minneapolis for the candidates, but for We the People. I'll be at the Rally for the Republic myself to do whatever I can to give Dr. Paul one last enthusiastic push by persuading the delegates for all it's worth.

- Trustar247, on 08/20/2008, -0/+6 How could the Republican party ever come up with the idea that John McCain would be the best nominee? Well, of course they did not. Kissinger and his other CFR etc friends decided that they would get behind McCain and a big part of the rest of the Republican party just went along rather than make enlightened decisions on what would be best for the country. Shame on them.
However, things can still be changed. Signing this would be one way to maybe wake up the slumbering Republican leadership to what is best for America and its people rather than the "powers" that think they have any right to control by their own selfish motives. - 17999, on 08/20/2008, -1/+0They want their money back. It's 3 weeks of allowance, on average.
- voicce, on 08/20/2008, -0/+5Help send a message to both parties that they don't own the American people.
- Aphelion27, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1I would never cast my vote for Commander-In-Chief of the US Military toward a man whose claim to military experience is his FAILURE to complete his mission! Better to have a man with NO military experience than one who was inept.
