On Oct. 19, 2026, the New York Stock Exchange introduced extended trading hours for NYSE American options. NYSE said the early session runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET and the late session from 4 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET.
The exchange’s initial group of eligible symbols includes options tied to the ETFs SPY, IWM and GLD, and to the stocks of Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Amazon and Oracle. This launch covers options on those securities, not an extension of trading hours for the underlying stocks and ETFs.
NYSE Chief Product Officer Kevin Tyrrell said the exchange is looking ahead to bringing the same approach to equities in December. The announcement does not give a launch date or trading hours for that prospective equities move.
