Britain plans to require salary details in job ads
The government says salary disclosure would help young jobseekers and tackle pay disparities that can disadvantage women.
TLDR
Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced the plan on November 5, but his office gave no legislative timeline. Just over two in five employers always publish salary ranges, while fewer than one in five always disclose specific salaries, his office said, citing Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development estimates. Burnham also urged businesses to disclose pay rather than wait for legislation.
