Public and private hospitals may be graded on quality and safety

The Economic Times reports that public and private hospitals are likely to be graded on quality and safety under a national framework Niti Aayog is developing. The framework is intended to help patients compare hospitals and improve healthcare quality. It would include measures such as medication errors, readmission rates and specialty-specific survival and mortality rates.
