Starlink says it is ready to provide high-speed internet in India

The Economic Times reports that Starlink said it is ready to provide high-speed internet in India, citing five-plus years of work with regulators, industry and operators. Starlink made the statement while tagging a Reliance Industries post that welcomed satellite competition but insisted all operators follow Indian law. A satellite communications licence alone does not authorize commercial service; operators must also meet security requirements and receive a spectrum assignment.
