Blue Origin is putting $330 million into an expansion of its Rocket Park manufacturing complex in Florida, part of a broader effort to turn New Glenn into a frequently flying heavy-lift rocket. The company says the project is scheduled for completion in summer 2027 and could support production of up to 150 upper stages a year for the larger New Glenn 9x4 configuration.
The expansion sits inside a Florida buildout that Blue Origin values at more than $3 billion. The company said Friday that it now employs more than 5,000 people across over 20 sites in the state, with about 500 Florida suppliers contributing to its launch business.
Building for a higher launch rate
Manufacturing is only one piece of the plan. Blue Origin's customer integration facility has four payload-processing bays and two encapsulation bays, which are intended to let teams prepare several missions at once. A second launchpad, LC-36B, is being built for New Glenn 9x4, while LC-36A is under repair after a May hot-fire accident.
