Anthropic reportedly offers Blackstone over 10% yield on proposed $60 billion AI chip financing

BullTheory, citing the Financial Times, says Anthropic offered Blackstone a yield above 10% on a proposed $60 billion AI chip financing package. The post says Blackstone funds would invest $9 billion in junior debt backed by Anthropic’s five-year lease payments for Google’s custom AI chips. It compares that yield with around 7% for a borrower with a similar credit profile in the public bond market and 8.5% on $4.4 billion of similar Anthropic debt sold four months earlier.
