Mercosur-Singapore trade pact takes effect for Argentina
The agreement gives around 25% of tariff lines immediate tariff-free access and sets out clearer customs procedures.
TLDR
The Mercosur-Singapore Free Trade Agreement took effect between Singapore and Argentina on November 1. Mercosur will eliminate import tariffs on about 96% of products. Singapore’s trade ministry and Argentina’s embassy say the pact supports Singapore’s efforts to diversify food imports. It was already in force between Singapore and Mercosur’s three other founding members.
