Toyota's China sales reportedly hit nine-year low for April-September 2026

Nikkei Asia reports Toyota Motor's China sales in its April-September 2026 fiscal first half fell to a nine-year low. Bloomberg reporting carried by The Straits Times puts Toyota and Lexus sales in China down 20% in September, as Toyota's monthly China sales declined for an eighth straight month. Bloomberg also reports that September global sales, including subsidiary Daihatsu Motor, fell 2.9% from a year earlier.
