Volkswagen reportedly pauses India EV investment pending clarity on JSW partnership

Bloomberg reports Volkswagen is pausing investment in an electric-vehicle program for India while it seeks clarity on a potential partnership with Sajjan Jindal’s JSW Group. People familiar with the matter told Bloomberg the company has completed design work that could let it ramp up the project using a low-cost EV architecture initially developed for China, but it wants a clearer business plan before committing more money.
