The tech sector reversed an early gain to close down 2.9%, while falling oil prices helped lift the Dow.
The Nasdaq closed down 1.1% and the S&P 500 lost 0.5% on Monday. The tech sector, up as much as 0.8% early in the session, ended down 2.9%. The Dow gained 0.4% as oil prices fell, with Home Depot and Sherwin-Williams among the stocks driving its rise.
