Weil Gotshal reportedly taps restructuring specialists to assess options including a possible wind-down

The Financial Times reports Weil, Gotshal & Manges is working with Davis Polk bankruptcy lawyer Brian Resnick on restructuring after merger talks collapsed. Options include a possible wind-down, a last-minute merger or a smaller standalone firm. The Wall Street Journal reports Weil’s management committee met all day Sunday and resumed talks Monday, as several members were leaving for rivals.
