Etsy bans AI-generated recipes and patterns from its marketplace

CNBC and NBC News report that Etsy is banning AI-generated recipes, patterns and other guides that require buyers to make a finished product. Sellers must include an unedited photo of the actual item, and listings generated by bots without human involvement are barred. Etsy says AI-generated art remains allowed if sellers play a clear role in creating it and disclose their use of AI.
