Bitcoin reportedly nears 4 million Turkish lira

Coin Bureau reported bitcoin nearing 4 million Turkish lira on September 20, 2026, as the currency weakened. It said the lira traded near a record low of 49 per dollar that week, while inflation remained above 31% despite a 37% central bank rate. Coin Bureau also said Turkish users were increasingly turning to crypto and stablecoins as the lira lost purchasing power.
