Piyush Goyal calls talks on an interim India-US trade deal ‘productive’

The Economic Times, carrying a PTI report, says Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal called his discussion with US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer “productive” and said it focused on reaching an interim trade agreement soon. They met on the sidelines of a G-20 trade ministers’ meeting in Milwaukee. The report says changes in the US tariff landscape led to further negotiations after India and the US announced a framework for the first phase of a bilateral trade agreement in February.
