TSMC reportedly weighs 3D DRAM production at Nvidia's request

TSMC is reportedly drafting plans to make 3D DRAM at the request of Nvidia, its biggest customer. The next-generation memory chips would put it in competition with Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron. Buying and converting an existing plant is one reported option. The development remains exploratory planning, rather than a production commitment.
