Judge dismisses proposed class action over Diageo’s ‘100% agave’ tequila labels

Reuters reports via The Economic Times that a federal judge dismissed a proposed class action alleging Diageo falsely labeled its Casamigos and Don Julio tequilas “100% agave.” The judge said the plaintiffs had not shown how they were harmed and questioned whether a study of five samples could support claims of systemic mislabeling. A lawyer for the plaintiffs said they may ask the court to reconsider.
