Activision apologizes for using Itaewon crowd crush footage in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

NBC News reports that the game uses about 10 seconds of heavily edited footage from the 2022 disaster to illustrate the aftermath of a fictional attack. Groups representing victims' families demanded its removal. In a statement reported by South Korean broadcaster MBC, Activision said it did not intend to evoke the disaster or trivialize the suffering it caused.
