AstraZeneca and Oracle plan AI-assisted patient matching for clinical trials

AstraZeneca is working with Oracle to use AI and real-world data for clinical-trial patient matching and safety-signal monitoring, Reuters reports. The first project will support hypertension research in Abu Dhabi with M42. The collaboration will initially focus on several disease areas and could support earlier diagnosis, but the report gives no results showing improved recruitment or safety monitoring.
