Delhi food inspections find expired products and pests at online grocery facilities

The Economic Times reports, citing Delhi officials, that inspections ahead of the festival season found expired green peas, Greek yoghurt, brownies and cow ghee at one food storage facility, and flies, mosquitoes and a lizard at another. An official statement said 19 of 59 desi ghee samples tested were unsafe and four failed to meet food safety standards. Officials collected samples and issued improvement notices where needed.
