TLDR

One post calls Ambani and Adani 'anti-national,' arguing they invoke nationalism while benefiting from a system its author believes is rigged in their favor. Another argues that supporting indigenous businesses is essential to India's self-reliance, but says prominent business families do little to amplify indigenous narratives.

Maj Manik M Jolly,SM@Manik_M_JollyThis is the dichotomy of it. Social media nationalists support indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs because we believe India cannot achieve greatness without a self reliant economy and industry. The opposing forces think it’s happening in collusion with businesses. The Mahindras, Ambanis, Adanis etc don’t even care or know that this support exists. They are busy chasing their billions and their main messaging platforms continue to be mainstream media, their events and debates. However, as you rightly said, if they supported even a tiniest fraction of indigenous narratives, the fight against misinformation and propganda could be so well organised and coordinated. From Op Sindoor to hit jobs on Indian entrepreneurs to propaganda on various issues that we are seeing developing into physical protests, all are shortcomings on our end on narrative management. Our Stratcomm is shortsighted and we keep repeating the same mistakes just hoping for better results. Someone somewhere needs to listen and do something about it.4h
Sabeer Bhatia@sabeerAmbani is anti-national. Adani is anti-national. They invoke nationalism while benefiting from a system I believe is rigged in their favor. True nationalism means building a fair, competitive India-not protecting powerful business interests from competition under the guise of patriotism.1h
