Indonesia pays $40 million in first claim under pandemic-era bond guarantee

Bloomberg reports that Indonesia’s government paid bondholders 722 billion rupiah ($40 million) after PT Waskita Karya failed to settle the amount the previous week. It was the first payout under a pandemic-era guarantee program for securities issued by state companies.
