Hengdian World Studios opened its film sets to visitors making mini-dramas

By Nov. 2, Hengdian said more than 2,000 people had taken part since the experience launched in August 2026, with bookings full on most days. One group paid 388 yuan each for costumes, makeup, a directed shoot and an edited video; another visitor paid 498 yuan for a solo session. The attraction comes amid continued spending on experiences in China despite a slowing economy.
