Amazon pledges $1 billion over five years for data center communities

CBS News reports that Amazon said it will invest $1 billion over five years in communities where its data centers are located. The company plans to support job education, energy affordability and other priorities, and warned that the U.S. “can’t afford to lose” the AI race.
