Indian Bureau of Mines invites applications to set up a mineral exchange

The Economic Times reports that the Indian Bureau of Mines has invited companies to apply to set up a mineral exchange, with applications due November 2, 2026. The invitation follows rules notified in June to govern mineral exchanges and market participants. According to the notice, the government wants an entity capable of establishing and operating a transparent, technology-enabled exchange.
