Binance points to a four-month sprint
Binance announced that bStocks passed $1 billion in assets under management roughly four months after launching June 11. The company calls it the fastest tokenized-equity product to reach that milestone, citing on-chain data from Dune as of October 15.
A separate RWA.xyz dashboard showed $1.01 billion in distributed asset value on October 15, along with 95 listed real-world assets and more than 1.5 million holders. The dashboard's metric is labeled differently from Binance's AUM figure, but it provides contemporaneous evidence that the platform's tokenized securities had crossed the billion-dollar threshold.
Binance also reported more than $40 billion in cumulative trading volume since launch, an average above $300 million per day. It said nearly 100 bStocks were listed, up from five in June, and $6 billion had been converted between direct stock positions and bStocks. Those additional figures are Binance's own reporting.
What investors actually hold
bStocks are not shares in the underlying companies. Binance's product guide describes them as certificates issued by BTech Holdings Limited, a Binance affiliate, with each token backed 1:1 by a corresponding U.S. share held by a regulated custodian.
Eligible users can trade the tokens around the clock, withdraw them to compatible wallets on BNB Smart Chain, or convert between bStocks and direct stock positions. Dividend value is automatically reinvested rather than paid in cash. Availability is restricted by jurisdiction, and Binance says the securities are not offered to U.S. persons.
