New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill warns ports against accepting Russian diesel

Sherrill urged New Jersey port and terminal operators to turn away tankers carrying Russian diesel and pledged to use state authority to keep the shipments out. She argues that a temporary Treasury license allowing Russian diesel imports conflicts with a 2022 congressional ban on Russian oil products. A Trump administration official says the license complies with applicable law. Sherrill says at least one tanker may be headed for New Jersey.
