HyImpulse gets UK rocket launch operator licence

Sky News reports that the UK Civil Aviation Authority granted HyImpulse a launch operator licence on October 1, 2026. The German company aims to launch its SR75 suborbital rocket from SaxaVord Spaceport in the Shetland Islands in spring 2027. The rocket is intended for research projects, not satellite launches; HyImpulse also hopes to launch an orbital rocket from SaxaVord in the future.
