Deutsche Telekom’s proposed T-Mobile merger reportedly stalls

Bloomberg reports Deutsche Telekom has held off on a formal bid to merge with its US arm, T-Mobile, partly because of works council pushback, according to people familiar with the matter. Semafor reported in July that T-Mobile executives no longer supported the proposed $300 billion deal, citing shareholder and potential regulatory concerns. Bloomberg says the combination would be the largest-ever public merger.
