McKinsey, BCG and Bain raise US starting salaries for the first time since 2022
The Financial Times reports 4–9% base-pay increases for US undergraduate and MBA recruits joining in summer 2027.
TLDR
The Financial Times reports that McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group and Bain raised base-pay offers for new US recruits by 4% to 9% after a three-year freeze. Citing recruiting adviser Management Consulted, the FT says all three firms will pay 2027 starters $120,000 with an undergraduate degree and $200,000 with an MBA. The paper says the increases come as competition for graduates from tech and AI companies intensifies.
