JetBlue raises checked bag fees for third time in less than a year

For economy travelers, a first checked bag now costs $50 during non-peak periods and $55 during peak periods when paid more than 24 hours before departure. Paying within 24 hours costs $60 or $70, respectively. JetBlue says the increase helps offset rising fuel and operating costs. JetBlue co-branded credit cardholders and elite frequent flyers are among those exempt.
