Semafor reports that San Diego startup Psyonic wants to give people its bionic hands and pay them so it can collect data for developing robotic hands. CEO Aadeel Akhtar says an effort to deploy thousands globally is in its early stages. He says the hands log grip forces, torques and finger positions, which can be synced with wearable-camera video to help a robotics model learn what a task looks and feels like.
